Glenna, fresh asparagus, what a treasure...I used to make it creamed over toast, but now would just put it in cream, no toast
Ann, no I use different size needles, whatever the pattern calls for.
I use circular even when doing stockinette stitch, you know, knit 1 row, purl 1 row. It is easier to hold in my lap and hands than 2 individual needles.
Went to the store after seeing Mom.
My cousin was there, the one that used to meet Mom and I to visit. She is more Mom's age. My cousins from L.A. were there also. What a fun visit we had...
have a good day girls. don't forget to check out my pics.
Glenna, you are a lucky lady to find asparagus in your garden. I didn't know it would grow here but years ago a bridge fellow grew some in his back yard. I know it takes sandy soil.
I bought some asparagus at the store this morning and I will have creamed asparagus on toast for supper. DH will be eating at the lodge. He loves asparagus but not a green vegetable he should eat.

Hi Ladies. Hope everyone is having a good Monday. We planted some lettuce, radishes, and beets today. So it is that time of year! The air is so warm and smells so good today. I love the smell of apple blossoms and spring air!
Ann, That was a cute description of your knitting needles. I liked the quiet and speedy part!!
Patty, I will have pinto beans, fresh asparagus, and salad on my supper plate. I was so happy to find fresh asparagus in the garden! Yummy!
Good Morning Patty and all to follow.
Patty, do you basically use the same size knitting needle for all your sweaters? I know I do. I have a No. 5 circular knitting needle that I love. I of course do knit back and forth but prefer the circular needle. I'm told this is the Cadillac of knitting needles and it wasn't cheap but I do love it. No pointed end to jab my fingers. "Turbo finish brass tips, can't rust, quiet and very fast.' (from the package) The brand Skacel , Addi Turbo. Looks like made in the USA I'm sure a knit shop would sell them.
The wall people have arrived. They should finish up today. I have my grocery list made and will head off to the commissary in about 45 min. (if I get breakfast and get dressed in time.)
Patty, I didn't sleep well last night either. I even got up at 3 a.m., took an Advil and laid in bed listening to an audio book. That didn't work to well so just gave up. I guess I did fall asleep but was up at 6.

Good Monday morning Girls,
Didn't sleep well last night.
New pics on my blog. Lots of new pics.
Oh my it is windy here this morning.
I still have the cornmeal color sweater to finish, not so far on that, the back is done, and half done with the front. Then I have to do the sleeves at the same time, because I am not sure if I have enough yarn for long sleeves, so will use both ends of the yarn at the same time. I don't like doing that, cause the yarn gets all tangled, but what else can I do...
I also have 1 1/2 sleeves to go on the gold sweater
Going to lunch at senior center today
then going to see Mom
nothing is going on here today. I want to walk soon, as soon as it gets light out, but it is so windy, it may blow me away, yeah right...
What's on your plate for tonight?
have a blessed day
