Anybody watch Dr. Oz today? I was channel surfing while I was knitting and waiting for DH to get home. The show was on dieting and foods that are low calorie to satisfy the sweet tooth, good oils, Hungry Girl was a guest and some other doctor that told the foods that fight cancer in the different parts of our body. Now we should eat 1 cup of lima beans a day, 1 cup of parsley (I think that was right), 8 apricots either sun dried of fresh and not the sulfur ones that I eat every day. I'm sure I missed something but I am going to look up his web site. He said sesame oil and walnut oils were good on something's and of course olive oil. The deserty type of foods were not all brands that I was familiar with. A choc. brownie, cookies but I did notice Breyers fruit bars at 40 cal. each. I've never had them.
Ann I like it some. We use it for pizza. Makes great individual pizza's, though I think it gives the crust a little bit of metallic taste, hubby doesn't taste it...that's all I use it for now. I probably wouldn;t buy it retail. If I could get it at a resale shop then maybe. like I said, we only use it for pizza. Patty
Good Morning. It is really nice out again today but not as warm as yesterday. DH came back from his walk and said he needed to go to a different Costco and Staples looking for something. I was and I said, was, in the mood to furniture shop. Why do I dislike shopping so much. I don't mind grocery shopping but anything else is a pain.
Patty, I'm glad you got some sleep in. I took an Advil before I went to bed and slept past my wake up time. I read on the W W web site someone was cooking something in their Reddi Set Go pan. Have you used the one you got at Christmas time at the Senior Center? How do you like it?
Sarah, I opened my front door yesterday for a while and I started sniffling and coughing more than usual. Now I'm going to run a test again. I closed the house up and by night time I was fine. We have an evergreen brush that is quite tall by the garage door and it is not that far from the front door. I'm beginning to wonder if that is triggering my allergies.
Paulissa, you have my prayers for your health. You are one busy lady and don't need these health issues to keep interrupting your life.
I have some Cool Whip and Angel Food mini cakes thawing. Actually there is only 1/2 a package of the mini angel food cakes and I want to use them up. I got the canned fruit cocktail and am going to make a dessert. Lime jello, fruit cocktail, Cool Whip on top of Angel Cake pieces. This isn't the recipe I've made before I can't remember the other one.
It is 67 degrees and sunny here today. It is pretty breezy too. Breezy days make me think of hanging out sheets and how good they smell on the bed. Nice to open up the house and let the fresh air come inside.
Patty it is great you got some rest. Wahoo! Hard to go about your day when you don't rest well.
Ann it is such a horrendous thing about the accidents. So very sad. Sounds like your day was busy yesterday.
Jan I miss your posts. Hope all is well for you and your family.
Louise how is your daughter? I am keeping your family in my prasyers.
Paulissa I'm so sorry for the physical problems you are going through. My prayers are with you. I bet the pics are beautiful.
