Louise, the BlueGrass Festival is in Blythe, Ca. at the fairgrounds. Just over the border on Rt. 10. It is next week, all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You can pay to walk in for the day. There are two stages of music that play from 9 to 4:30 Pacific Time. My DH will be at one of the stages all day long. Camping is just optional.
For some reason I can not pull up any of my favorites. I hope by tomorrow that will be working again.

Good Afternoon Everyone! Patty, you are doing just Great! Your brother is doing Great also.
Sarah, enjoy the sun today. Ann, where exactly is the Bluegrass festival and what are the dates. Does have person have to stay there? Could they go just for the day. It sounds like something I would like but unfortunately not my hubby. I am just curious.
Well, this morning DH and I went for an hour walk at one of the parks in Gilbert, Arizona. Then we met DD for lunch at the Greek/Mediterrean Resturant we like. They make their foods
fresh and they are very healthy. At least what we order is healthy.
Well, not much else is happening. Everyone please have a Great Day!
Good Morning. I'm still not dressed but thinking of taking a shower and then get dressed. I don't have any plans for today. I think I will cook up the yellow split peas I bought yesterday in the recipe I got some where. It calls for a leek and I have one so need to use it up.
DH got the motor home out of the shop and took it for a test drive. He's home but I haven't heard if he thinks the problem is fixed. Tomorrow he is going to get our Christmas present installed. DS gave us a new radio with a remote control. I can barely reach the radio in the motor home with my seat belt on and the buttons are so tiny it is almost impossible to see what you are pushing. I can barely put a CD in the player. It will be nice to have the remote control.
We have a camp out next Mon. Tues and Wed. out on Thur. Not very far from home, about 1/2 way from here and the Mexican border. The main meal is furnished so I don't have to take much. Then DH really really wants to leave on Thur. for the Ca./ Az border for the annual BlueGrass festival. I would much rather stay home but if I did he'd probably go by himself. I know it will be very cold over there during the night and part of the day. I don't relish sitting outside all day listening to music. Just not my cup of tea. I'll take plenty of yarn and reading material. At least it will be only four nights instead of the usual six we go to. The down side is going in late we won't get the space we've had for the last few years that has a tiny building close by that DH can plug electric into for his CPAP machine. If our batteries are fully charged he can run the machine over night on the inverter.
Patty, sounds to me you are a good influence on your brother and that is wonderful. I hope your predicted storm does not arrive. It is sunny here but the nights are cold and it takes a while to warm up in the morning.

It is sunny and warm here today, tomorrow it is supposed to be rainy.
Coffee is over, egg white mini omelet sandwich on thin round is over and there is a pot of veggie soup on the stove. Now with all the chopping I need to sweep and spot clean my floor. My kitchen floor is a never ending job.
Patty I hope your weather isn't too nasty. Your brother is doing great and so are you!! If you have one of those squeeze balls around it might help your fingers if you squeeze on it a few times a day.
What are all of you into today? Got big plans? Doing any cooking?
Whatever your plans are, enjoy your day.
Catch Ya Later
Good morning Girls,
Lots of sunshine here. Supposed to be up to 40 today, then starting tomorrow, we are supposed to have winter. We shall see on that. They have threatened and threatened winter here, and no show so far. The ground is mostly covered here in the woods, but at my Moms, mostly bare ground. Hubby will clean the chimney today, before the snows come. Much easier without all that snow on the roof.
Lets see, yesterday went well. Brother and I talked over a lot of things regarding Mom. It's like 30 miles to the lawyer, so had a lot of truck talkin' time.
My hands still giving me fits. Think they will be that way until I can get something done with them, this summer. So I do have that green sweater sewn together, need to get a picture. Still working on a hat I started over the weekend. Almost up to the decreases.
Did more knitting on a baby sweater in the car on Sunday. There are 3 baby sweaters that I want to start, I can hardly wait, but I want to finish the two that I already started. One I sort of put aside, as I am not sure that I am doing the collar right. I need to get back at that one. I also have an afghan started. Just lots of stripy stripes. When I am almost done with a skein of yarn, it goes into that afghan. Will take a long time to finish it, but a goodly way to use up skeins. I have about 6 inches across on it is all...not very far at all.
Sure wish I could walk outside. I need fresh air today. Maybe once I get past the icy driveway, I can walk in the woods. Shouldn't be icy there, I wouldn't think. I will try that.
Maybe in 2 sessions. One this morning and one this afternoon.
My brother told me yesterday that he is using the treadmill. Only 12 minutes a day so far, but he is progressing. I am so proud of him. He and myself have Dad's "fat genes"..lol Brother is close to 300 pounds, in the 290's. I am concerned for him. He said I inspired him, by my 45 pound weight loss and my walking. Now wasn't that nice of him to say. It has been 3 years to get that weight off, and I am not losing now...I either need to eat less, yeah right, or move more...yeah right again...lol I have about 60 more pounds to go. Need to see those scales move downward...I just keep on keepin' on.
I am so proud of all you girls. You are doing wonderfully with your eating and your moving. So proud of you. Keep it up. I will be here by the sidelines, waving at you and cheering you on.
Have a super blessed day girls. Try to get some fresh air today, even if it means only opening a window to let the fresh air in.
