Good Evening All, Are you all baking or out shopping? It was a beautiful day here in the mid 60's. There are high winds in the mountains and north of us but we are spared so far.
I got some more paper shredded from the file cabinet. I even got my mothers files organized. I tend to just put stuff in any of the folders I have for her records. I gave DH a fat file of his medical stuff to go through while I had my hair done. He said he threw away about 4 pieces of paper. Big help he is.
I went to the grocery store after my hair app't and got a few things for Christmas dinner. I've been trying to think of something different for dessert and saw this ice cream dessert on the W W site that sounded good. It was posted by a member. Layers of ice cream sandwiches, Cool Whip, drizzles of carmel topping and chocolate fudge topping and peanuts. You make two layers. Sounds easy to make ahead and keep in the freezer.
Louise, I noticed the WW meeting place not far from our house that has been there since I went in the 70's, has closed. I went on the W W web site and see they have a temporary meeting place a little further away. I guess their lease must have expired and the price probably went up too. There is a Chinese buffet restaurant next door and it is always busy with the parking lot packed with cars. I'm wondering if they want to expand. DH and I have never eaten there.
DH and I generally go out house decoration hunting at least one night during the holidays. There are a group of short streets and cul d sac's behing the W W old meeting place and the high school. 90% of the houses put up very nice decorations. There will be a line of cars as well as packed sidewalks of people. On Christmas week end some one will bring a horse drawn cart and take groups around them all. Not every one on our street has lights up but a lot do.
