Jan, I hope the kitty is feeling better. I really love cats! I don't understand people. There should be a law against drinking while hunting! Don't they realize that they could kill some one and not the Elk!

It's late - almost 10 PM. This was my TOPS day and a busy one but all went well. Ten of us had a loss today so we got a free months dues for making it through Thanksgiving with a loss. I drove one of the ladies home and we had a good chat.
It is elk season here but there are people hunting, camping and drinking (bad combination!) within the city limits. Our son goes for a walk along the reservoir road where city workers go and one family lives in a house out on that gated road but also many people walk there or walk their dogs. Today when Troy was on the road he heard shots and loud laughing when the top of a tree came crashing down near him. The dern fools had been shooting at the tree- but the big thing is this is supposed to be off limits for shooting. The limb or whatever missed him but there were other people there too. One lady said she is sick and tired of calling in to report people hunting within the city. So he called the police and reported it when he got home. I mean there are houses nearby, people walking, dogs and sometimes children. Some irresponsible behavior ruins it for all. Well, actually they seem to get away with it around here in this good ol' boy system. Do you want to know how I really feel? Lol.
Sweetie Pie is sick again. We have been cleaning up little messes around the house. We'll see if she can work through this. Can't afford a vet bill.
Good evening everyone, I woke up to a dusting of snow this morning. I got up at 4:30 to go to the bathroom and the ground was bare. Then when I woke up around 7, we had snow! It has stayed cloudy all day. And the air is so cold!!
I had a ton of pictures on my camera. So I put them on cds today and emptied up the camera. A granddaughter wanted some of the pictures of family that I had taken last week, so I emailed them to her. Seems like it takes me forever to move pics around. I think I need a computer class!!!
I made some homemade Miracle Whip today. We basically had leftovers to eat on. I made potatoes, but that was about it.
It is supposed to be pretty for a few days now. Patty, our buck deer season is in until Saturday. A neighbor gave us a deer. I have it all finished up now.
Patty and Ann that is so nice of you to donate your items to help others. I am sure they are very much appreciated.
Hope everyone had a good day. It's chore time in WV so I guess I'd best get to moving.
Good Morning. it is still morning here. I've been trying to decide what to have for supper and spotted two packages of salmon in the garage shelves. I know I've made salmon patties before but can't put my finger on the recipe. Many of Jo's cookbooks are hard to find a recipe as they have unusal names and aren't listed in the index by the food they contain. i e fish or salmon. I found one that I've made before although I don't remember it, that is a salmon loaf with cream style corn and frozen kernals in it. I didn't really want that. I shall look in our recipe thread below by change there is one there.
Not a lot going on here. DH is off with the motor home to pick up a repair man and the two of them will take a drive in east county where there are some hills to see if the transmission will chug and jump like it does when we are driving. The repair man is suppose to attach a computer ??? to it for a reading. DH said he might be home for supper.
Patty, that is so nice that there is a place to sell your knitted goods for a good cause. Last night I finished the 150th hat and next week I will drop them off where they will be given away at a Christmas Party for the needy.
DD brought me over her 1 mile walking tape of Leslie's that is dated 2001. Thank goodness it is the same VHS tape that I just had to throw away because the tape got chewed up. I hope this one doesn't get chewed up. I plan to have DH copy it. The other one I use every day is a DVD.
Last day of deer hunting. As we live in the woods, I have been limited to walking around and around the driveway. BORING Starting tomorrow, I can start walking my path in the woods again. I love that path. Hubby and son made that path, not just for me, cause we can get to the back of the property by that path, but it sure is a nice path through the woods. Always cooler there in the summer too, with the leaves making sort of a canopy over my head.
Need to walk today. I sure admire some of you your moving so much, Ann and Louise, Jan, Sarah with your moving. I guess all of you are moving more than I. Good for you.
I took some items to the Hope Chest that I knit and crocheted. They still have a lot of my sweaters, so I asked them if they would like me to make them something else, they said hats of all kinds. So hats it is. Though I have 3 sweaters started, and will get them finished too. iT'S SO nice that they appreciate hand made items. So many places don't appreciate all the time and money put into making something from home. I am so thankful that they can use these items to make money for their homes. I think I already told you, but this resale shop makes money for the Hope House. They house teenagers that want to turn their lives around, their whole family has to go to counseling there also. Teenagers hormones and such are going through so many things, remember how we were? It's so good that they want to be a blessing to society instead of a burden.
ok, enough chatting. Need to take the rest of my meds, )(sounds like I have a lot doesn't it), just some of them should be taken alone, and get ready to go to senior center for lunch. Then home to walk. Blue skies and sunshine out today. Patty
