Wow, Patty, too hot to put the oven on here. I fixed a Peanut Butter Waldorf Salad from the flyer "Cliff's Favorites" and also in the Cookbook of news letter favorites. It has plain f/f yogurt in it and this Yoplait plain f/f is so sunny. I hope next time I shop they have Dannon again. I'm to cheap to buy the Greek yogurt. just kidding. Then I steamed cut up hodge podge of mixed veg. from the refrig and fried WI Wi Ham. that is one of HR recipes. I sure had to hunt for ones that didn't require the oven.
I can hardy wait for my 8 pm Skinny Cow Chocolate Moose
I'm leaning out the front door with the fan setting it to blow down your way. Let me know if it works;-)
It started out cloudy but the sun broke through and it's 70 this afternoon. I've been to the store and to a new Mexican restaurant for lunch and then a walk around downtown because we hadn't been there for a long time. I plan to do a Leslie dvd tonight.
Nina, I wonder if "your" tree is the same one I was talking about? It was gorgeous. I stopped and took a picture of it and that should be around here somewhere. I'll be up in that area (Canby) in early October so maybe I'll see if I can drive by it. I know how to get there but don't remember the name of that street. It was near the library.
Ann, I hope you found a cool supper option. It's frustrating when the bank or other institutions change on us.
Jan-about the tree in Oregon City. When I first moved there several years ago, I was driving down some road after picking the kids up and I saw this huge BEAUTIFUL red tree in fall. I stopped the car in the middle of the road and looked up at it. I had not seen a tree like that since I was a kid in Illinois. My kids started yelling at me, you can't stop in the middle of the road mom. It was a well traveled road, but the Lord had no one behind me that day. All the years I did live there, I went down that road every fall just to see that tree. Wish I could remember the road.
Ann-thanks for all the info on places to go. We remembered that it was a holiday next week-end. So we will not go till the following week-end. That is if my honey does not get a job between now and then.
My DH took me to McDonalds this morning to get my favorite breakfast sandwich. I get the bacon egg biscuit, without cheese. Then we went shopping to find a fan my DH can put up for DD#2.
while out I started to have a diabetic sugar low. So my daughter took me to the McDonalds again and I had a regular hamburger. Would you believe just those 2 items used up my fats in the tracker on the low end. Oh well I will be glad when I can start buying and cooking my own food. Go to DD#1 tomorrow. Have a great day Nina
Boy this month is going by fast. Today is already up to 80 but there is a little breeze so with the fans going it is comfortable. I came on line to pay the cable bill. Darn bank has changed there accounts set up. Why can't they just leave things alone. It really irritated me that most of the decision page to where you want to go is not in English.
Nina, I can't remember if you are in Fresno or Bakersfield as that will make a difference on where you take a shake down cruise in the motor home. I guess if Fresno some where around San Louis Opbismo would be the closest. I can't remember the camping facilities there but if you are closest to Bakersfield Pismo Beach has a large I think county park on the beach edge. We think is a very nice area. You better go this week end as next week end being Labor Day will be packed.
I hope I can think of something cool for supper, maybe tuna salad or chicken salad. I prefer not to have pasta again.
