Hi everyone
emoticon
Did not feel good at all today.
emoticon
I sat at my DD computer and copy pictures and info from Diabetic Living mag site.

I am making a notebook that I can take to the store of some of the newer lower carb products. I go to the store and then forget which ones they say are the best.
Did not start till 12pm and lost steam at 2pm.

Went and took a little nap. I usually never nap except when sick.

DD brought back pizzas after the kids Karate class. I ate some raw cauliflower for a veg.
I read that cauliflower places second in Vitamin C after orange. Since I cannot have citric, this is what I am eating to fight my cold.

Need to go to bed.

Patty, do you have well water? I would think that would be fairly soft. We have city water piped in from where ever they can get it and it is so hard. I don't have a water softener but I do use a Britta pitcher to filter our drinking water. It takes a lot of the ucky taste away. I sure can tell the difference when I have a glass of water at someone elses house. This is one reason I didn't want an ice maker because it would use the yucky hard water. So I fill up ice trays from the Britta pitcher. I'm the only one that uses ice cubes and lots of them.

Supper was a lot better tonight. Now DH wants to go to Dairy Queen. They have a sale on. Buy one blizzard and get one 1/2 price. He's ready.

Haven't I been posting?
Thought I had most of the time...lol

I have still been walking.
Today was up and down stairs, many many times.
Our water softener quit on us, well it worked all the time, over and over and over. The tub kept filling up, and every half hour I had to go down to the basement, and empty it with bowl after bowl into the washing machine.

Hubby finally got home, and he knew how to set the override or something like that, and to unplug it, and have it stop working completely. No more emptying out the softener tub. Used up a whole bag of salt today...drinking water salty too.

He called the company, and they said that they could come out and fix it, or maybe we needed an upgrade, to the cost of 500 bucks...
I have been wanting to not have soft water for some time, so we decided that for now at least, we would have regular well water not soft water. When I wash or shower, it feels like I don't get all the soap off, of my skin and my hair also. So we shall see on that...

Have a good day.
Patty

Home from the beauty shop and can't go in the kitchen as the floor is wet. DH scrubbed it. Darn I'm thirsty. I think I was at the beauty shop 3 hours. The lady before me had a perm. so had to wait. Glad the reading material was good and I didn't have any where to go.

Well, tonights supper best be better than the one last night. This one will be a H R recipe. Top of the stove meat patties with a tomato soup base sauce.

Patty, Jan and Sarah you have been missed. Others also but they don't post as regularly.
Sure wish we would hear from Louise and Heather too.
