My honey and I are getting to spend some quality time alone at my daughter #2 home. They were going someplace for the week-end and could we house sit. She thought we might like some time alone. We have been helping family with my dad in nursing home for 3 months now, and staying at different homes.
Daughter #2 and fam will be back in 3 days and we can visit for a few days.
We had BBQ chicken and grilled vegetables for supper with
Dad doing better. He was given a non -hallucination drug and is more himself.
Have a great weekend
I don't get this thread or maybe it is my computer. No problem other wise. I click on my favorites and my earlier post is not there. I then click on Gen'l Team Discussion Forum and can pull it up. I read Patty's post but mine is not below hers and I try to respond and nothing. Back to Gen'l Team Disc. Forum and I can pull up the thread. I give up.
Any way our supper casserole of O'Brien's Potato and Ham Au Gratin was very good. From 8/99 newsletter. I will post it in the recipe thread.

I didn't want YOU to be alone here tonight too...lol
Took MOm to the store for visiting with cousins.
I was stuck in a traffic blockage for 20 minutes. One lane highway through town.
We had pork loin chops for supper, with onion and potatoes fried, and fresh carrots. It tasted so good.
New pics on my blog.
Good Afternoon, All
The sun is trying to come out. It was really humid this morning but slowly the air is beginning to feel dryer. I went to Penney's this morning. It is about 8 miles but down in the vally. It was pretty steamy down there.
I had a bunch of coupons for $15.00 off $10.00 off and more. I didn't find a thing I really needed but did buy $45.00 worth of kids socks, minus coupons cost me $8.50. 32 pair of socks for the community service drive for back to school kids. Same place we donate canned food.
I looked through all my July and August newsletters today trying to find something easy to fix for supper. I finally decided on a dish with hash browns and ham. Sorta like mac and cheese only potatoes and cheese. I've have several different fresh vegetables I can choose from and still have fresh tomatoes. DH likes his tough skinned ones from his plants. I prefer the ones from Costco.
