I think chammomile tea helps with sleep. You could google teas for sleeping and see what you find.
Good evening ladies,
Bruce's back surprisingly got worse today. He's been laying on the livingroom floor with pillows under his knees most of today. Probably will have to go back to the chiropractor. I moved the furniture around to accomodate him - switched out his recliner (which is hard to get out of) for a firmer club chair. So my livingroom looks like a used furniture store.
Ann, I didn't see Dr. Oz today but I thought he had someone on about those bath salts people are smoking or sniffing or something and getting sick. I'm curious about the tea.
Patty, I'm thinking you will be glad when autumn comes. What a sweet hubby to let you keep the bike money.
I'm having a good ol' Lean Cuisine for dinner with cantaloupe for dessert. I just love the fresh fruit and veggies. Hope to get some blueberries and cherries.

Yes, Ann, the storm was still going on, but we couldn't hear it inside the store. It surely was black in there...
It was in the high 90's today, and humid. Tomorrow should be 100 or more, so they say. and humid...ugh.
I fixed vegan sausage patties, mashed potatoes and gravy and mixed veggies for supper. We will also have some cherries. I don't know what they are called, but they are the reddish yellow ones.
Hot and tired today. I sold a vintage water heater and a bike today while hubby was gone. I told him I put the money for the water heater upstairs, but I kept the money for the bike...he just laughed...
The guy that bought the water heater was talking to hubby about it on the phone, and he said that I was going to buy a pretty dress with the money. I said no, not a dress, but buy some yarn...hubby would believe that. The man just laughed...
Hubby is out mowing the lawn. I told him not to, as it is still too hot, but you know how "they" are...lol
Have a great evening girls.
The vegan sausage was really good. I used oats and walnuts and lots of spices. yummy, sounds terrible. looks and tastes great.
Good Noon Time everyone. I've been going through my email and too lazy to do much around the house. DH didn't set his alarm so he slept 2 hours longer than usual. He's still out walking but I bet he will be hungrey when he gets home. I didn't want to wake him so I did my Leslie tape with the mute on.
Jan, I haven't frozen any casseroles lately but don't recall them being watery. I guess it probably depends on the ingredients. Do you reheat in the microwave? I know I do on 1/2 power.
I was channel surfing this morning after doing my second exercise tape and Dr. Oz was on some program. He was talking about sleep. I probably didn't catch the beginning but the few minutes before the commercial was interesting. He was telling a lady that if she drank wine before she went to bed it would help her get to sleep but also would cause her to wake up after sleeping a short time. He suggest some kind of tea. I'm not a tea drinker so have no idea what kind he suggested. Another interesting fact was that if you sleep on your right side your heart doesn't have to work as hard as it would if you slept on your left side. Then he said if you sleep with a fan on you it dries out your nose and throat. Better to have a humidifier.
Nina, those of us in older houses that were built 50 years ago don't have air conditioning unless its been added. We get about 2 - 3 weeks a year that I wish we had air conditioning. I'd probably freeze DH out as he's always cold. It would keep down on the dusting. But wow the electric bill. We live close enough to the coast that it doesn't get unbearably hot. I'm not happy when it hits 80.
Patty, were you still having a thunder storm when the lights went out during lunch? It sounded like thunder here a few minutes ago when a Marine Jet plane flew over. All is quiet now. He must have strayed from his flight pattern. That happens once in a while. I always say, the sound of peace.
Sarah, I have an email friend that has family living on Amelia Island just north of Jacksonville. She had me check out a video of the island taken from a helicopter. How beautiful.
I'm fixing mac and cheese with cut up ham in it for supper tonight. I bought some tomatoes at Costco yesterday. I hope DH won't feel slighted as his golf ball size tomatoes aren't that great. I also got some blueberries, peaches and raspberries. They also had Rainier cherries that people were buying like crazy. For two people I thought what I got was more than plenty. We've been eating fruit for dessert.
