Hi everyone Just a quick note. My honey got a job in his field, but it requires traveling. My dad is loaning us his motor home to go. It is in Boise Idaho. It is suppose to be 6 months. It is a good paying job and something we use to do years ago, and about 4 years ago also. Pray for safe travel as the motor home is not a newer one. My dad did take good care of it and replace things when they needed replaced. I may not be on here for a while unless I can get on the internet. Nina
Glenna, I'm also wondering why he didn't just wipe it up with a paper towel. I did a good one tonight. I had cooked some beets and was peeling them over the sink and then I run them over a ripple cutter I have (about the only thing I know to use this for). I'm fighting the slippery beet try to get all the skin off and it wasn't coming off very easily and the sun coming in the window over the sink wasn't making it any easier. Any way the beet slide out of my hand, down the front of me and across the floor. Maybe having rubber gloves on didn't help matters. I guess the washer will get a work out tonight. I'm sure glad I decided this morning not to bother ironing these crinkle type of capries. You and your DH are sure hard workers with the haying.

Ann, I enjoyed your story about your dh. Makes me feel a little better! Yesterday morning I came in the house from Moms. DH says to me, "I made a mess in the kitchen." All kinds of stuff is running through my head. He says, "Yeah, I was eating a banana and when I was throwing away the peeling, I dropped half the banana in the cat's milk bowl. It spashed on the refrigerator a little." I went and looked and sure enough it splashed on the refrigerator "a little". Our refrigerator is black so it showed up nicely. It was on the fridge, the floor, and the cabinet by the fridge. And the banana was still in the cat's bowl, too. I am thinking why didn't you just get a paper towel and wipe it up? Oh well, it's all clean now.
Hope the rest of you ladies are doing well. We made hay again today. We had 53 bales yesterday and 29 today. So it was a good workout both days!
It is hot and humid again. Yesterday wasn't so humid, so it was more comfortable.
Have a good evening, Glenna

Since you girls get a chuckle out of my DH tales, I have another one for you. This was yesterday.
This day has been nuts. 7:30 a.m. the phone rings for DH. LF (about 86) would like to have him take her car to the shop for a once over as a relative passed away just south of L.A. Also get it washed. So DH gets dressed and starts for the garage. I tell him just be back at noon. He looks at me and then goes to the front door. I ask him if he isn't going to take the car. No, I'll ride the bus. So I said to him:
Why don't you take the car to LF house and leave it and drive her car to the shop. Then you can drive DS truck back to her house and leave it there and come home in the car. After work DS can drive to her house with her car and get his truck and drive home. Now this would only have given DS about 3 extra miles. No, DH didn't want to do that.
About 10:30 a.m. DS calls the house for dad. No he's not here. I had my hair done and got home about 2 p.m. and there sits DS truck in front of the house. I didn't ask any questions. Pretty soon DH says I'm taking the truck back to the shop and I'll try and be home for supper.
At just about 3:45 DH calls me. I missed my bus and I have DS truck keys in my pocket will you come and pick me up. He was at the end of the street by LF house. So I pick him up and continue on to the beach area with it's traffic jams to return DS keys to him. DS and I each gave the other 'the look'. I told DH he owes me big time. He even got left overs for supper.
Today's escapade with DH is a little better. He was out on his walk when I got up at 7. About an hour or so later DS calls and asks to have dad call him when he gets home as he needs a radiator hose picked up at a shop in our area. I told DS to call dad on the cell phone as he just might be in that area. DH calls me at 10 a.m. saying he will be late getting home as he was at the shop as he had to pick up a part for DS. 'Yeah, I told him to call you in case you were near the radiator shop'. He said he was only a block away when DS called. Then he rode the bus to the shop. I've had a nice morning to myself. Noon and he's still not home.
This will be a great week end to stay home. All the out of towners will be hitting the city and the beaches to get away from their heat. Normally July 4th is the end of our ocean cloud cover that acts are our air conditioning.
