Thanks for the info Sarah. I wish I could think of the man and his team that discovered all the treasure from the sunken ship. I remember when that was discovered. DH gave DS info on the military base that have places to stay there. DS is retired Air Force. We drove down there one time and I could not believe how clear the water was.
Ann Key West in the summer months is HOT, HOT and HOTTER!!!! There is usually a breeze though.
Be sure to tell them to hit the beach at sundown. Everyone gathers there. They have a decent aqaurium, the Flagler hotel is very interesting, there is a museum of retrieved gold and such from ship wreck. There are loads of things to do. Duvall street is the main street in town. Conch is the most famous food of Key West. There are trolleys to see the sites and hope they rent scooters. Easier than driving. They will truly have a ball.
Good Afternoon All, It is a nice sunny day about 70 degrees. Pretty perfect. I did grocery shopping at the base and it wasn't even hot out there. I was afraid the produce and dairy wouldn't be well stocked and the store was crowded but not so. Very well stocked and no line to check out. I was in by 10: when it opened to the public and home by 12. Handicapped and mothers with children can go in at 9 a.m. The other two commissaries in town don't have those hours.
We have had a busy five days of baseball with GS team. They won 3 out of 3 games and then yesterday won the final best of the best. We have a few days off and then starts the playoffs between the teams. The park was jammed with kids and adults. One dad on GS team brought a pig to roast. DH and I just came home and ate.
This morning I brought 3 containers of left over spaghetti sauce out of the freezer, that will be warmed up for our supper. I'll probably make a cole slaw salad to go with it.
Jan, my lilacs are just about gone. They sure don't last long.
Sarah, my DS, DIL with their DD are going to Key West the end of June. I think they are nuts as you know it will be hot and humid.
It is hot, humid and overcast here today. Just a very small chance of rain. It will come soon I hope, we are very dry.
Louise it works out good that your DH is working days this week. I have your DFIL and all your family in my prayers as y'all go through grieving for your DMIL.
Jan please blow some of those rain clouds our way! I am thinking it's Monday too. The lilacs must be beautiful. I don't see those down here, not sure if they like Florida or not. If you get your menus figured out you are more than welcome to work on mine! That is 1/2 the battle of cooking for me.
I'm not sure what I will get into today yet. I need to vaccuum but that is tricky for me.
I hope everyone is having a productive day.

Thank you for the update, Louise. It's good you have something to keep you busy. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I woke up to a cat meowing insistance that someone get up to keep her company. I think this is going to be a goofy week since today seems like Monday. It's cloudy with rain most of the week. I'm going to finish the laundry and the usual Monday chores. Then I need to think about dinner and future meals. The white lilacs are finally opening so I hope to get a bouquet today. It's tricky because they are all high on the tree and the tree is on an embankment.

First, I want to Thank Everyone for all of your prayers and support! They were very much appreciated!!!! THANK YOU!
This week DH is working days because the day man is a vacation. I think that actually worked out good because DH can go over his dad's when he gets home to see how his dad is doing. DD is on vacation this week so we will be checking in on my DFIL. I am trying to get my to my much needed housework. This is still a grieving time for us but honestly we are rejoicing that DMIL is with The LORD and in the BEST PLACE--HEAVEN!
Not much else is happening! I hope everyone had a very nice Memorial Day Weekend! Again, I want to Thank everyone for all of your prayers and support!
