Patty-so sorry you have been sore lately. Don't worry about venting. It helps to just release the frustration and we all have our health problems we get tired of.
Judy-Sure hope these storms go away. They sure are scary in spring. Although they can come anytime with the right conditions. Too bad you cannot move out of the tornado belt and go somewhere else till it is over.
My dad had another really good day. My hubby was so much better too. He helped my dad with the church accounting as he understands what has to be done. My dad was so grateful. He is trying to get important things done. I do not know if they told him he would only have about 6 months. His heart has deterioration. But it sure is good to have him feel better.
Guess what?! The sun is shining!!! As soon as I finish here I'm going to get ready to go for a walk with DH.
Thank you for the good wishes for Bruce's birthday. He had a good day. We enjoyed visiting our old church on Sunday and visiting with friends. At Olive Garden you can get Soup & Salad (all you can eat) and warm breadsticks. I guess menus vary by regions but ours was $7.95. You could get refills of soup and try all four kinds if you liked. I ate the salad they brought with a vinaigrette but if I go again I'd ask for one without dressing.
I made Lemon Fluff Fruitcocktail Salad using orange jello and we'll have that tonight. Also made Breakfast Bread Pudding (HELP). I've got some ground turkey so will decide what to make with that.
Good Afternoon, It is much more comfortable today than yesterday.
Judy, I can't figure out what your picture is? Maybe someone else knows. Isn't the bridge over Lake Ponchartrain something else? We stayed in a timeshare in the town on the other end years ago. Friends from Ky. came down and joined us. The first night there a knock came at the time share, a cab driver was bringing two older ladies for a week and the office was closed. We told him the managers probably left a key for them under the door mat. Next morning DH ask if LF and I would take the ladies to the grocery store as they didn't have any food. They both were from South America and only one spoke English. Her grandson was to stay at the time share but couldn't make the trip so told grandma to use it. I felt sorry for them being so far from New Orleans and no wheels. The manger of the timeshare was able to get them one in New Orleans and found them a ride into the city. Later in the week we were waiting at a train stop for a train. One train went by slowly and there were the two ladies on the train waving to us from the window. Stay save and watch the weather reports.
Cindi, I thought it would be fun to bake cookis with the step granddaughter at that age. It didn't go too well. She wanted to taste the batter and then didn't like it so spit it back into the bowl of dough. I scooped.
Patty, you early bird you, I bet you get those sweaters knit ahead of schedule.
Time for us to go eat. Always early on Sunday.

Good Morning Patty and Cindy and all who will follow! Patty, have fun knitting but I am sorry you could not sleep. I have had those nights--too many of them! Cindy, I will still keep praying for Jacenta. I don't know how she really could be the same girl going through what she did. I feel so bad for her. Some thing has to be done about bullying and beating kids up! Schools have to start taking this seriously. There have been many suicides because of bullying. I am just Praising The LORD that Jacenta was not one of them. I will still be praying for you and all your family. I am off my soap box now--sorry!
This morning I did Leslie Sansone's Active Adult 1-Mile Walk. Then I did Wii Bowling for 15 minutes. I will do something else this afternoon. Time to eat breakfast then a much needed shower and get ready for Church. Everyone, Please Have A Really Blessed Palm Sunday!
i am up early also. only because i have to work tonight and it is the only way i can get some sleep this afternoon. we had hard hard thunderstorms and wind and rain all day yesterday. the horsebarn has about 5 inches of water in it. i was glad dave and i were home and didnt have to be out in it. today is supposed to be a better day. this has been a hard spring to deal with all around the country. i am sure your knitting will relax you.
ann, our wal-mart store that i work at never deleted the fabric department. the community signed a petition with over 2000 names and sent it into home office. so we got to keep our fabric. there are some wal-marts in the towns around us that are bringing the fabric department back. if they had more women making decisions they wouldnt have to go through as much grief and expence that the business goes through!
jan, hope you and your another year older partner for life have a wonderful day. birthdays are so speical.........no matter what your age. yesterday i only had my 2 year old grand-daughter so we baked. i started baking with all the grands when they were this age. all of the older ones love to bake. whenever they come over we always have our cookie jar filled with something good to eat. they are like little sponges and love to learn and have fun at the same time.
louise, thank you so much for keeping jacenta in your prayers. she is just not the same girl. she tries to be but i know she is hurting inside so bad. she has a job working at a horseshow where she takes riding lessons every other saturday. poor thing had to work yesterday in the rain. they stopped by here and she looked like a littled drowned rat.
nina, prayers are going up from my house for your dad and traveling mercies. everything is in the Lords hands. we have to draw stength knowing He is in contol.........no matter what happens.
I couldn't sleep, so finally just decided to get up. Forgot to tell you that night before last, the wind was so strong that it broke a fence down, one of those stockade fences, just broke the support beams that hold it in the ground. It landed on the propane tank.
Also, the ground is covered with snow and ice. bah will spring ever get here? I am going to go down and knit. Talk with you girls later. Patty
