Was sick yesterday, still not well but doing ok. Got a virus from the DIL and she in turn is giving it to her kids.
Did a few things today. Washed clothes, but used the dryer and used the timer so I get them out sooner. Did not feel like hanging out on this beautiful White Mountain day of 82.
Have not heard about my dad yet. Last I heard he was in the heart area of the hospital as his heart was racing blood sugar up and giving him insulin (nerves most likely-I do that). Called but no one home-will check again later today. Nina
Good Afternoon All. It is a warm one. Where's Spring. I'm not ready for Summer. It is 83 outside. I had my hair darn and 6 ladies came in with sweaters on. And I get red as a beet under the dryer.
I've baked a double batch of my breakfast muffins for next week and after the hair app't I went to the produce store. I was going to buy a pint of potato salad to go with hamburgers tonight. At $6.99 a pound I decided I'd make my own. Probably will taste better too and won't have so many calories in it. Maybe enough for two days. So I bought two potatoes.
Patty, sounds like you're made a good find in the used car. One of my bridge friends has eye problems and had to give up her car. Another bridge friend bought it and is thrilled. Our Chevy Malibu was a lease car when we bought it in Fl. It certainly is not my dream car but for a tow car it is great. The older I get the harder it is to get out of these low cars.
Nina, I hope your dad is doing better.
Louise, your DH's schedule is gruelling. Why would they expect someone to work those hours with so little time off between shifts. I bet a younger person would turn down the job.
Jan, the dust will just come back in another day. I don't think I would ever buy a glass coffee table top again. It looks dusty every day and I just let it look that way.

Patty, I looked at your blog. I love your work! You are a very talented lady! on buying a car! I have been doing housework all day but not deep cleaning. Laundry and dishes and cleaning out the ref. has kept me busy. DH took our car to get fixed. He is at work now. Tomorrow he will be working the day shift and 12 hours. I will be praying for him because at 64 years of age I feel this is a strain on one's body. He is working until 10:30p.m. and getting home around 11:30p.m. Then he will be going to work to be there either at 6a.m. or 7a.m. tomorrow morning and then working until 6:00p.m. or 7:00p.m. tomorrow night. He will be 65 in November and plans to retire at 66. With his heart condition I am praying that he makes it. Well, everyone, please have a Great Rest Of Thursday! I think it is about 90 degrees outside. GOD BLESS! Louise
Afternoon Girls, We went to lunch at senior center. One of the ladies there has a car for sale. It is a 2007 Toyota Corolla, with only 15,000 miles on it. We are going to look at it this afternoon, It is gray in color, so it won't show the dirt. Supposed to get good gas mileage. Think I will check it out online. I am certain about the mileage, as this lady is 90, and has not driven much in a long time.
I did put up some new pics on my blog if you want to check it out. Have a blessed afternoon girls, Patty
