Good Afternoon! DH is home today as the water pump on our car went out so he is having the repair shop fix that and the airconditioning. It is actually DD car. They had swamped cars a while back when the airconditioning went out. DH does not care for airconditioning and DD (I can't either) does not like to drive without it. Both cars are the same year and make as we bought them at the same time--DD bought hers and we bought ours. Anyway, the car is in the repair shop and DH did not have a way to get to work. He never ever takes time off so I am glad that he did. The bad thing is I was going to go grocery shopping this morning and I could not. We actually have no food in the house. The good thing is that there is a breakfast place right infront of our townhome complex. So DH walked over there to get us food for lunch. DD will probably pick us up supper. The car should be ready tomorrow so I will take DD to work and then DH to the bank and then to the repair shop. We have been very blessed because both cars are 2002 Saturns and they just now have had things going wrong on them. With repairs they should last a little longer and then we will probably buy a KIA. Sometimes I wish it was safe to drive bikes here (not motorcycles but bikes) but it really is not. We do have bike lanes but there are a lot of cars and some drivers do not pay attention. Besdies it would be too hot to ride them in the summer. Also, DH works second shift so riding a bike at night would not be safe. It would just save on gas and car reparis but again I cannot complain as we have not needed car repairs until now. OK, I am off my soap box.
Good Morning Patty and all to follow. I think Heather will be the one to accept you into the Common Folk web site. If you have another YaHoo pass word, that might work. I have an old Yahoo password they gave me and I have to look it up each time I have to log in. Not one that you can easily remember.
The young man came and installed the Roman shades in the living room. He was due on Monday but had to cancel when his back went out grabbing for the milk carton in the refrig. He said he has a lot of back problems. I'm sure he is at least 7 feet tall and the nicest young man. He has installed all the window treatments in the house. The Roman Shades will take getting use to. Different. I hope I'm through with windows for a long time.
I did my task for the day. I cleaned the drivers and passengers vinyl chairs in the motor home with a Mr. Clean Eraser. DH is puttering out there now.
We got an email notice about our May campout. The wagonmaster has been in contact with an air museum in Palm Springs we can tour. Oh Joy. I'm tempted to sent the president (who is the May wagonmaster) an email and ask him when do we get to go to a paint factory and watch paint dry. DH said maybe they could find a cooking school to visit. I told him, No Way, He would enjoy that too much.
Morning Girls, I have supper in the crockpot. Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes and Ham Pot, Kitchen Miracles, page 122. Sounds yummy Not sure what I will serve with it. The casserole has potatoes, peas, ham, mushroom soup and spices, and milk and cheese in it. So what would go good with that? Carrots maybe and more applesauce. I need to have hubby bring in some apples so that I can make up a pot of applesauce each week. Doesn't that sound good. Fresh applesauce. yum
I have not been accepted into the JoAnna Common Folk yahoo group yet. Can anyone help me with that? Pretty please??? Have a good day girls. Patty
