Ann thank you for posting the Mexican Goulash. It sounds righ down my alley.
Catch Ya Later
Went to town with my DIL and kids. I only had a little energy to do the shopping.
Yesterday I had to call the doctor. The new medicine caused a reaction. So I am on Benidril all day. Got a lump in my throat. It is going down. The doctor does not want to give any more medicine till all the reaction symptoms go away. He won't be back in the office till Tuesday because of Holiday. So not feeling the greatest with this sinus infection.
Looks like I won't go on the trip as my DIL wants to see an aunt that is visiting in Oregon. I can't get well soon enough and I have to get my blood pressure meds figured out.
Snow is suppose to be here tomorrow. Think I will scrap book tomorrow to relax and not think about how I feel.
Also want to work on some meals for next week.
I sure am glad that I do not get a 5:45 wake up call.
Sarah, I posted the Mexican Baked Goulash dish in the main dishes and casserole catagory thread. I could not find the recipe in the 30 plus cook books of Jo's that I have.

my very good friend had total knee replacement surgery tuesday. i have been at the hospital with her everyday. she is hoping they will let her go home this afternoon. i dont think they will because she needs therapy every day and the weekend will be here tomorrow.
i did get the quilt top i was working on sewed together. now, i have to put the backing and the batting on. then i am going to tie the middle and there is a place on the sides to do some hand quilting. whew! what a project. it is going to be beautiful when it get finished.
ann, it takes a while to get back to normal once you have whatever we had. i think today is the first day that i have really felt good and not all rung out.
i really dont know what i eat for breakfast because i really dont know when to have breakfast. usually before i leave for work i have coffee and a piece of toast. speaking of work i have to go to bed and get some sleep because that is where i have to be tonight. believe me...........i am not smiling. have a blessed evening. cindy
Ann..... just arrived at the base yesterday, so haven't been to the dunes yet.
Barely survived "reveille" this morning at 5:45 AM!! Forgot the army bases do that every day.
Then again at 6AM...the dogs started howling at that one, so we were all up with the chickens today!!
There are only 8 sites now...tucked up at the foot of the Mt range here. Very nice. Going to the Missle site and museum here now. It's right inside the gate on the left.
Early to bed tonight...I will be ready for the bugles tomorrow. It was a shock after all the quiet we had at the Deming site!!
Good luck Festive Belles
Good Morning All. The sun finally beat the clouds and is shinning brightly. Rain is due tonight and off and on tomorrow. Suppose to get colder too. Snow at 5,000 level. We're about 50. Gee, I might have to turn the heater on.
Jan, I hope your DIL gets the job. Has she been staying with you all this time? My breakfast is always two Cinnamon Bran Muffins. I'm not much of a breakfast eater, never was after years of having to eat oatmeal, maltameal etc. I loved cream of wheat but dad said it wasn't nutritious enough. Bah Humbug
Gina, casseroles are great, as you generally can cook once and eat twice. We are having warmed up left overs tonight from last nights supper.
Sarah, I'm not sure if the Mexican Goulash is posted or not. It is pretty easy to fast scroll through the recipes threads looking for a name. It would be in the meat, ham and pork or casseroles. When I have been putting recipes into categories, if it has gr beef/turkey I have put them in the meat, ham and pork category. I'll look later in a couple of recipe books. Our next trip is next Wed. We have a camp out about 65 miles north. This town has a nicely laid out outlet mall but sadly many of the shops have gone out of business. They had a Koret store for years but I was notified they had closed. There was two kitchen shops there and DH favorite - - DQ. I hope the kitchen shops are still there.
Judy, I'm sure you drove out to the white sands dunes. One time a group of us drove out there with our RV and were told to park and have lunch as we could not get in the camp ground until 1 p.m. What a mistake that was. Parking between all the sand piles was hotter than hot. What a bunch of complaining. I thought the base campground was larger than 8 sites. It's right inside the gate isn't it? We stayed there once. Don't you love staying on the bases and get to make a commissary run. To me it is such a secure feeling although I never worry about staying in a camp ground.

Good morning ladies........
Well, we finally left Deming NM yesterday and drove east a whole 107 miles!! We are at the White Sands Missle Range (Army base). The mountains are just out our window, and they only have 8 spots here on the base, but very nice and only $15 per night for full hook-ups.
Knee still sore, but better. Try to walk a little every day, but don't go more than 15 minutes yet. Don't want to make it worse.
Going to the Museum here later today and find out what there is to learn about the base and surrounding area, Someone told us there is a tour of where they tested the first atomic bomb...that would be interesting to see.
Weather here is beautiful...in the mid 70's today, but yesterday the wind blew like crazy...even scared the dogs!! Moon last night was fabulous. There were clouds in the sky and it came floating in and out. When there are no clouds, the area is so flat you can see billions of stars. So beautiful here even tho it can be harsh at times.
Well.... off to the base exchange & museum.
Have a good afternoon........Judy
Good luck Festive Belles
It is 74 degrees here right now. Sunny skies and low humidity, one of Florida's great weather days.
Jan I'm glad yoou are feeling better. Hope DIL has good luck on her interview. I love oatmeal but I usually have Egg Beaters or egg whites. I am trying to throw oats in about 3 times a week though. I like the old fashioned oats with cinnamon and raisins or applesauce in them.
Hi Ginadawn! The shepherds pie sounds like a good dinner. I haven't decided on dinner yet but I'm leaning towards baked ziti.
I miss the posts from Iris, Shar and Grammjudy. I hope all is well with them.
Cindy this cold/flu just keeps hanging on! Hope you are feeloing lots better now. I have rounds of coughing and just a general tired feeling but other than that felling much better.
Patti your weather has sure done a turnabout! I hope it stays nice. I love the hats from the looms, are they difficult?
Ann I'm ready for your next adventure! I really get a kick out of your trips. Is your house all finished? I used to grill fruit on my George Foreman all the time. Peaches and pineapple were tw of my favs. It really brings out the sweetness. Is the Mexican Goulash posted on here? Sounds good.
Louise how is your DD? Hope she is feeling a lot better today. Did you get to the farmer's market?
Nana I love the potholder coverups. You are so clever. The little bags you make are so nice and very handy.
Judy how are your knees? Knee problems can be painful.
Paulissa how are you doing? I'm sure you are busy as a bee these days. I'm praying for your ex, hope all is going good.
Glenna has spring come to your part of the world yet????? Hopefully the worst snow is over for you.
It is time to get something done around here.
I hope your day is blessed and filled with contentment.
Catch Ya Later
Good morning to you too!
For breakfast I usually have oatmeal, banana and orange juice before heading off to work. If I don't eat breakfast I find myself "grazing" all morning until lunch.
Here in Central Illinois it is sunny and in the 40's. Can't complain too much about the weather but we did have record highs yesterday in the 60's. The weatherman is predicting rain/snow for Sunday night. He's not very popular right now.
I've had the past two days off from work so I have been surfing along here at SP, trying to catch up on things I miss.
I am going to fix one of Joanna's recipes for supper tonight. A shepherd's pie. My husband loves casseroles so tonight he will get a treat with this one.
Good morning ladies,
We're having a bit of snow this morning. I don't have to be anywhere this morning so it's nice looking out at it.
DIL left for Portland this morning for a job interview. She will be staying with a friend there for the weekend at least. Maybe depends on the outcome of the job.
I am feeling better today and I hope everyone else is, too.
We usually have a hearty bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. What do you do for breakfast usually?
How is your day going?
