The auction today was so much fun. There were all kinds of things. Some were hot items but I don't think anything went for over $10. Most were a couple of dollars. Some Christmas decorations, knick knacks, a red Christmasy sweatshirt was a hot item, home canned pickled beets, pickles, smoked sturgeon jams, Christmas breads and rolls, lots of decorations and some office things. I came home with a large ceramic piggy that went up on a shelf in the laundry room, a water bottle in a carrier with a strap (so I can carry it around my shoulder when I'm out walking), and Christmas bread. A rough estimate is we earned $325 for our State Recognition Days fund which pays for our hotel rooms. I lost 1/4 lb. Not earthshaking but on my way back down.
Sarah, I wish I could send you a sweater or a warm fleece top. I watched the oldest version of A Christmas Carol a couple of days ago and now I need to watch the next one. Which is your favorite Christmas movie?
Paulissa, I once had a Risotto recipe from Weight Watchers that I loved. It had some asparagas and I think white wine. It was the first time I attempted to make risotto and don't remember it being too difficult. Which is your favorite Christmas movie(s)?
Ann, I'm sorry the room was too, too pink. Know how you feel about not wanting to give in to dd but needing to make the change. It's great it was only one wall and the others are so nice and neutral. That must be some chemical contamination. Thank heavens no one was blown away with it.
Glenna, sorry I got your birthday mixed up. It sounded like a nice one.
Judy, Don't you love putting up the Christmas tree. All the memories in the decorations.
Patty, I hope all is well with you today. I'm hoping you got a really good rest.
Nana, Hope you are feeling better, too. One of my TOPS friends was saying she gets dizzy sometimes when her blood pressure is up.
Louise, We miss hearing from you. Maybe you are just dancing the day away.
Shar, you are missed. I hope that sinus thing didn't turn into a big problem for you.
Are any of you making Christmas desserts or cookies?
Another thing. Don't forget to measure things. I often do but I had been counting my 94% ff popcorn at one measurement. Today I decided I'd better put it in one of those huge measuring cups just to see. Hah! Almost twice as much as I thought.
