Patty, I think the most important thing you took to the football game was the blanket to sit on. Those hard cold seats are the pits.
I'm not sure what Shar's pumpkin bars were. I have Open Road and the only pumpkin in there is Pumpkin Pudding Pie Squares. Or Pumpkin Pie Pudding Squares. I couldn't figure out if they were bars or not.
Evening Girls, I am freezing. Just got back from DGS last JV football game. They won again. yay It was 44 all during the game. cold cold cold, but we were better prepared tonight. winter coat knitted hat stretchy mittens blanket to sit on blanket to cover up with not too shabby, and felt warmer than last week at the game.
Now have to go to bed, and watch Project Runway...Anyone else watch it. I like to see the ideas they get, and it helps to inspire me in my crochet...

Good Afternoon. Almost time to think about dinner. I pulled two slices of meat loaf out of the freeze, I have some crook neck squash and will steam some cabbage to go with it. DH can have some instant mashed potatoes and beef gravy with his dinner.
It has been a nice day. Sunny all day but plenty of dark sky around us. They say the rain has moved east. I know it has helped as Oct. is normally a bad month for fires.
This morning I continued cleaning out cabinets and drawers in the motor home. All while DH naps, reads the paper, naps, sits in the garage and naps while listening to 'his music'. Talk about bored and can't think of anything to day. Oh, he's watced a game show or two.
Heather, that is quite a gang you are cooking for. They must have been so happy to see you come. That must take up most of your day. Do you have a designated dish washer? Did your MIL move with you or is she back in NYC?
Jan, I wish your DS good luck with his job interview. That is too bad the other son's boss is shorten his pay. I hope it all works out.
Paulissa, sorry you're having health problems on top of the pain.
I think I better go in the house and Walk with Leslie before I fix supper. Painters come tomorrow. DS said I should be having the walls painted at the same time as the ceiling. He always has just good ideas. NOT

I went out to breakfast with my oldest son this morning- an unusual (and refreshingly reasonable) restaurant. Everything is made there. We had black beans and brown rice with toast, pepper jellies and salsa and really good coffee. Found out his wife(?) is soon moving back to the big city. Also found out his employer has been cheating him on his pay so he is down trying to deal with that.
As we drove through town on our way home we saw all these police car flashing lights and a young man sitting on the sidewalk handcuffed. Wonder if that will be in the paper tonight.
I've got a pot of beef barley soup simmering for our dinner. Just made up the ingredients between two recipes.
The weather is cloudy and I think the rains come back tonight or tomorrow.
I cut youngest son's hair for his job interview tomorrow and he'll be going back home after dinner.
A fall day in Florida today. Not horribly hot and a tad lower humidity.
Paulissa I hope you can get your lungs cleared so surgery can go as planned. I'm glad you got the sleep.
Louise I hope all is going well with your DH today. My prayers are with you.
No cooking here today other than maybe a piece of chicken. I made the Lancaster County Green Beans yesterday that Judy posted. They were good and I'll make them again. I do like more of a tang so next time more vinegar.
What are your plans today? Any cooking going on at your house?
It is a cool morning here but will be another beautiful day.
I am fighting off the annual bout of bronchitis. Since my lungs need to be clear prior to surgery, I'm heading to the co. dr. today and getting the antibiotics needed to get rid of it. Damn I wish that I had an immune system! I'm hoping that as I eat more fruits and veggies, etc that eventually my system will strengthen itself. The meds are kicking my butt; I went to bed at 6 pm last night and slept straight though the night. I feel much better today in terms of energy.
Not much going on today: work, dinner, and then I need to hit the homework HARD!!!! I'm behind where I want to be for the week because I've been dragging so much. Catchup time! Then a little drumming practice.
