I can't remember how I did it. I saw others have it, and just played around, until I got it. Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable than I, can help you.
How do you put the minutes, etc in the posts?
Working out teaches me about challenging, yet being patient with myself.
"The only way you can hurt the body is not use it. Inactivity is the killer and, remember, it's never too late." ~ Jack Lalanne
There are 1440 minutes in a day, set aside 30 for exercise.
This is who I am, this is what I do.
That's so funny, what kind of day you had. Sometimes between hubby and myself, it seems like we have half a brain together...lol. Maybe you are extra tired out.
Louise, so glad that DD loves her job. Such a blessing to be making a difference in little one's lives.
Sarah, I thought I better come and answer your question before I forget all together. My mind is like that lately. My daughter loves who new job. It is very tiring as she teaches four different classes. She has 40 children but not all together--40 among the four classes. The parents must like her
because one little girl and her mother came in with the largest coffee drink that they have at Starbucks and gave it to DD. DD was very Thankful and very surprised. Then other parents told her how their children are learning in her class. They told her that their children are coming home and telling what they did for the day. One little boy told his mother
he is learning! That is a good reflection on DD. I am so happy she loves her new job. She was at the other one so long that she was used to it and she was
not sure how this one would be. Sarah, I am praying for you. Actually, I am praying for everyone on this
Team. I really appreciate all of you! Well, everyone, please get a good night's sleep.
Ladies, Ladies, don't you know when you go from one cleaning project to another and another and another that is called Kangaroo cleaning. Jumping from one thing to the next and for me I generally never finish half of them.
I really thought of you all today. We went to the Army PX as they call it. Post Exchange. There were a couple of ladies in the door way with a table selling aprons. You don't see that very often.
Then we went to the Air Force base PX and commissary. I knew DH was going to watch the foot ball game tonight so I bought two of those individual pizza. (mine was 200 calories each piece and had two pieces. Each was the size of two crackers. I asked DH if he liked his appetizer. I also had gotten a box of Betty Crocker Warm Delights. Never had them before. Good but not very big. DH went to put Cool Whip Free on his but it had molded. I decided I'd made him some brownies. I have a recipe for them with vanilla yogurt and I did have the yogurt. With my Convection oven you have to preheat it and then put the heat temp. and time in again to bake. I think I forgot to do the last step. I know I am losing it. Maybe I can rebake them. They are like thick chocolate pudding.
We moved sites and this one is a curve. DH says he'll have to back out of the ) as he knows he can't make it around the bigi tree. Tomorrow we move south about 25 - 50 miles to where the rally will be. We'll be there a day early and won't leave until the following Monday.
Hey, the sun came out today at 5 p.m.
Ann in San Diego
To tell the truth, a wonderful day for me is when I am home alone for at least the entire day. That rarely happens anymore. Then I have my morning coffee and dig in. Unlike Flylady's advice, I do some of my best work in my nightie & bathrobe. I start in one area that needs help and work until I'm tired of it, move on to another thing and then by the end of the day I have had a chance to go back and finish the other projects I've started that day. I can just haul things out of cupboards and reorganize them without someone needing lunch or to do something in the kitchen.
At church today I asked a friend if he had a syphon and he did. When DH & I got back from our walk there it was on our front porch. You will all be glad to know DH said it worked wonderfully and he is flushing the windshield wiper gizmo. Phew! Not a good thought of green antifreeze spraying all over the windshield!
Louise, I love hearing about someone like your friend who just passed away who made a huge difference in people's lives and really cared. That was sort of how my old boss was. I read his online obituary and comments people who knew him made. People who worked with him admired him and he had helped them through difficult hurdles in their lives.
Cindy, It is hard to catch up on sleep once you've missed it. The tractor thing sounded like fun. I think they do something like that in one of the country towns near here. I love the annual corn feed at one of the grange's. The old hall is like stepping into the past. They serve ham, all the corn on the cob you want, cole slaw and then a dessert I think. That's coming up soon.
Sarah, it's good to see you back with us! I know we all wish we could help - but it's not that easy, is it? Just know we all care about you very much.
Patty, you got us all to fess up to being distracted. Now you know you aren't alone!

I'm sure sorry about the depression. That is a vicious cycle. Sometimes it feels like the "darkness" will just swallow you up, doesn't it?
Praying that you feel better soon.
HA, looks like this group is a bunch of scatterbrains...lol...glad tht I am not alone...oh, to put anti-freezse in the window washer thingie...mercy, now that does sound like a senior moment...lol. Funny to read about, not funny to go through, and have to try to fix though. There should be someplace to pull a plug and have it all trickle out, but I don't know for sure...someone will know, or he could look up on the internet and find out...
I hope everyone is doing great today. Louise, Jan and Patty your DH's are in my daily prayers.
I have been having a bad round of depression the last few days. I cry at any little thing. It was "Oh poor pitiful me" time around here. I hate that the depression gets such a hold on me. So I sleep and cry. I am trying to pull up my big girl drawers ans get on with my life. Thank you all for caring and keeping me in your thoughts and prayers.
Jan your weight loss is just wonderful. Don't stress over making a mistake, it's life and it will happen. Just put it behind you and go forward. Sometimes that is easier said than done. I am praying that the issues around you get resolved.
Louise I was so sorry to read about your friend passing. How is your daughter coming along with the new job?
Anne it sounds like you are having a great trip! I really enjoy reading about your adventures. Be safe!
Patty I know what you are saying about getting distracted. Some days I'm not too bad but then I have days that I seem to wander around aimlessly wondering what I was going to do!! I love your hats!
Cindy I'll take an acorn squash!!! All of the fall squash are so good. Little apple juice, teaspoon of honey and some cinnamon, mixed and drizzled over them as they bake. Enjoy your fall weather. Did I read that you make buttermilk? So does that mean you have milk cows?
Glenna are the cukes done for the year? You are sure going to have some goodies to enjoy this winter.
Shar how are you doing? Wonderful news that your son found a job!
Deb WAHOO on finding a job! Even temp work looks good after looking so long for work. I know you feel a bit of the weight is off. Things come along when it is right for them.
Twinsters how are you doing? Hope all is well with you and your family.
Heather have you gotten moved yet? I hope it is all behind you now and praying that things go well or that they went well!
Today it is overcast and starting to thunder. Are y'all getting fall weather? Has anyone had a frost yet?
The last couple of days I have had a stomach virus so I'm babying that. Be glad to be able to eat my veggies again but for now toast and tea.
I hope your day is blessed and finds you filled with peace.
Catch Ya Later
patty, i get distracted so easily. what happened to you this morning happens to me all the time. i probably would have spent the rest of the morning looking for my cup of coffee. i try so hard to stay focused but i do not do well at all.
jan, you were telling about your husband. well, i have done things like that a lot. i seem to function on tired most of the time. dave tells me all the time to go to bed earlier but i just can t. there is wash to do, vacuuming that needs done, bathrooms that need cleaning. if i go to bed and don t do things around the house first i can not go to sleep. in fact, i wear myself out just trying to sleep. he doesn t understand at all.
i like to apend time with our girls and the grands. i really don t want to be doing a lot of housework on my days off. i am only going to get one chance at this life and i don t want to spend it sleeping or doing housework everyday. sorry, i didn t mean to go on and on.
yesterday we went to the gas and steam show and we had so much fun. one of the 14 year olds went with us. they had a flea market there and i was able to do some shopping for the younger ones for christmas. the tractor pull was a lot of fun also. there were all kinds of demonstrations of how farming was done way back. it was a great day.
today is kind of laid back. we went to the nursing home this morning. i just got done baking some cookies. i think i will watch a little football before i have to go to bed. right, i have to work again tonight. hopefully and prayerfully it will be better than it was last sunday night. only 3 more years!!!!
hope everyone has an absolutely blessed day. cindy
Good Morning Patty, Jan and all who will follow! Patty, I am not organized at all. When I try organizing things I get side track and start something else! I also have to get better with my exercising. I was doing well and lately have been slipping up. I have been doing that with my eating also. So now I have to GET back on track! Jan, I will be praying for you. I will be praying for your
hubby as well. I have one just like him! My DH insists on doing things and gets over tired but he will never admit it. The thing is when he is sitting
at the kitchen table and falls a sleep, I think that
is a good sign of him being tired. Your hubby and mine need to be careful because of their hearts.
Well, on Friday I went to the most beautiful memorial
service I have ever attended. The man who passed away used to volunteer at the Christian preschool my DD and I worked at. He had Cancer but that did not stop him. He planted vegetable gardens and flower gardens. He used to come in and pray in each classroom. If he sensed one had a prayer need he used to take out his pocket Bible looked up a verse that pertained to the situation and read the verse and then prayed over the person. Even though he had Cancer, when I got Cancer he prayed over me for an healing and that the doctors would get rid of the Cancer. Well, they did get rid of the Merkel. His wife has Cancer also and he always prayed for her. The Memorial service brought out how he always went in the classrooms and prayed over each child. People talked about his pocket Bible that he always pulled out. There was a video playing of his life showing that he loved life. A lot of people got up and spoke of what this sweet man meant to them. Then
the last speaker who got up was his only daughter. She wore a red bow tie in honor of her father. The man always wore a red bow tie--he was his own person!
He always wore suspenders (not too sure how to spell the word). Then the last video they played was his last days but showed how he still loved life and celebrated his wife's birthday dancing. He was from Georgia orginally and while they showed the video they played Alan Jackson's "Small Town Southern Man" because he loved country music! It was one of most beautiful memorial services I have ever attended. It
was a celebration of life not of death!
Well, we missed the first service at Church so and DH
is still sleeping. I think we will be going to the 5p.m. service tonight. Everyone, please have a Great
and Blessed Sunday!
Oh, Patty - that is me totally (distracted). When I poured the coffee this morning the countertop seemed sticky and I remembered DH fixed the hamburgers there last night so I cleaned that up. I go down the hall to the pantry intending to get something and see something else that makes me forget what I went for. Lol.
My heart is heavy today. Some things going on. DH & I went out of town yesterday so we could just spend time talking about it. I think "the problem" and also all the haranguing on tv with elections coming up, another anniversary of 9/11, etc. I just feel sad. Also when we got home last night DH said the car was overheating so went out to add antifreeze (it needed it) but he put it in the windshield washer container instead! Now we can't use the windshield thing until we find a way to pump that out. I think he was just tired but it concerns me. When he is tired and insists on bulldozing ahead with something that's when things happen.
Also, I overate for the first time in a long time. So now I want to be extra careful what I'm doing.
Ann, I hope I never have to drive in Seattle! If I do I'd go at 2 AM.

I went downstairs to get a cup of coffee, and I poured out the cup, then looked at my stove. So I cleaned the stove top. It looks so much better now, nice and cleanish. But I get sidetracked so easily, like with the coffee and the stove.
Anyone else? Are you all organized? Or are you more like me, getting sidetracked with one thing and another?
It is a beautiful sunny day here today.
Not sure what is going on today. Cleaning the upstairs, unless I get sidetracked again...lol
I just figured out how to put my exercise minutes and spark points on my posts. My exercise minutes are less than my posts. Pitiful, just pitiful
