Good Afternoon. The heat has arrived, it is in the high 80's. That is heat to me. I've got the fans going.
Patty, you're not alone, we're all there with you. I hope the next app't goes well for your DH. I guess a GD wouldn't be facinated with the football on the hand held compute thingy. GS is also 11. I guess he got a play date today as DH has been here at home. Part of the time anyway. The 3 x 5 plastic thingy that covers the four floresant lights in the kitchen broke. One of the 4 did. So DH set about a few days ago to find a new one. Home Depot is about 2 miles from here and they didn't have it, then he's made at least 3 trips to Lowe's which is a good 10 miles and another HOme Depot in the other direction another 10 miles. I know he's made two trips there. He's probably used up a tank of gas to get this fixed.
Patty, I made the new hat pattern. I thought I knit pretty loose until I started this. Now I have a baby blue kozy for a bowl.
I have a lb. of gr. beef thawing and was going to make a beef vegetable stew in the crock pot but when I saw the sun out at 7 a.m. I decided it would have to be something else. I think it will be taco's. We don't have them very often and I bought the shells on my last grocery run.
Hi Patty, I'm praying for your DH and I can related to keeping up with a young one. My eldest gets bored quite easily! I set up "stations" we circulate throughout the day. It helps a bunch to have places for her to go to when she gets bored.
I'm doing really well. Happy to be home in the city!
