Jan, I am so glad that your husband is getting better. Praise The LORD! I just hope he does not try to over do it when he gets feeling much better.
Well, I stayed within my calorie range again today. I just danced for an hour. I might dance again a little later but not sure. Well, everyone, please get a Good Night's Sleep!
GOD BLESS!
Louise

Hi Ann & Louise & anyone else who drops in,

I'm just getting on here. My days are different as we are adjusting to helping DH. He is doing well. His back is almost totally on the mend. Right after lunch we all went down to the riverwalk and got a nice walk in. We went to a new area they just paved and there's a great view. We watched a big ship come in and saw how it turns into the channel. One of my biggest challenges is cooking low sodium. DH's challenge is getting a doctor's appointment.

Well, in the "old days" kids lived at home. Mom told me Dad's family was unhappy because he got married before his brother returned from WWII when Dad was around 40. Lol. In many different nationalities one of the kids was supposed to stay with the old parents. In Dad's family it was my youngest uncle (who did come back from WWII) and in Mom's family it was my Mom. Grandma lived with us from the time my grandfather died until she needed nursing home care. It sure wasn't "the Andersons" (Father Knows Best). Grandma was very stern and critical of Mom & thought her son was next to the king, lol. Of course, he rarely visited and he took Grandma to visit his home once and his wife was so mean to her, she never went back for another visit.

So nowadays with this economy there are a lot of us with kids back at home. It's a challenge for sure. Depending on what happens with my other son's job or getting into a new job, we could have two here. Yikes! He really doesn't want to do that - he wants to stay in the big city where his friends are and more jobs (maybe). The plus side is if we want to go somewhere there is someone to "cat sit" and we get help with various things. I'd say the down side is it would be nice to just have the house to ourselves. Our youngest son is far more organized and I think as we get older he would be the one we would rely on for help.

Tonight I made DH a meal of yellow peppers, onion, golden potatoes sliced thin, slices of chicken and fresh spinach from our garden sauted in olive oil. He really liked it. Oh, I sprinkled low fat shredded cheese on top.

Tonight I'm going to try rearranging the livingroom. I hope it works. I'll let you know.

Good Afternoon Ann and all who may follow! I know what you mean about businesses not following through or not doing everything they are suppose to be doing.
I think they do that on purpose. Our DD lives with us also. She is 32 but she is saving to get out on her own. Honestly, I don't mind her living here because until her Health issues she paid for her own food, paid all her bills etc. Now she is doing that again and saving up for an apartment. She was a big help to me when I had Cancer. However, I understand her wanting to get her own place. I did when I was single. When that happens I think DH and I will go into an adult community. She does not want to live with us forever and even though I don't mind her living here right now, I don't want her living with us forever either. Of course, I would like to see her meet someone and get married but ONLY if that is the LORD'S WILL for her. I don't want to see her marry just anyone. She is very careful about who she goes out with. Anyway, I am not even sure how I got started on that subject. I did not come on here until now because I have been trying to catch up on the housework. I came to the conclusion that there will always be dishes to do even after one does them and laundry to do even after one does a wash. Never Ending!!!! I have to exercise today but I have been staying within my calorie range. Infact, I have been staying a little under it. I am going to stir-fry veggies (using water not oil) and have turkey burgers for supper tonight. I have fresh fruit for desert. Where is Sarah? Is she all right? Does anyone know? Well, everyone, please have a Great Rest Of The Day!
GOD BLESS!
Louise

Gee it is late afternoon and I'm the first one on line. It's the 5th and I'm sure I wrote a check today and put Aug. 4th on it. It's a nice comfortable day with a wonderful breeze. I puttered this morning and then got my hair done. When I got home DH said we had to go get the motor home from the shop. Of course they didn't finish all they were suppose to do. I can't understand why a business doesn't make notes of what they are suppose to repair. Now we have to wait two more weeks for a part.

Jan, how old do our kids have to get to be more ?????
DD is 53. Lord help me if she has to be my care giver. I don't think I will ever let that happen. LOL
