Good Evening! Jan, you will be wonderful at your TOPS meeting tomorrow! I love what you are going to do. Cindy, I used to ride when I was a teenager but I have not rode a horse in years! Patty, sound like you had a great day! I did not do a lot in the morning but in the afternoon DD and I went to the Christian Cancer Support Group. It was a good meeting. Then came home had supper and now I am going to get ready for bed. GOD BLESS! Louise
Jan, sounds like you have your food all thought out. You could even cook up the burgers and other meat, then just heat it up in the microwave if you are short on time. Just having stuff ready to heat up is nice. When we used to go camping, I would always make up mac and cheese, a fruit salad, a cream pie and a veggie salad. Then we ate on that for suppers. yum.
Then sandwiches for lunch and apples or something. Breakfast was always fast, like toast or granola or something.
Cindy, I love the smell of sheets hung on the line. Oh my, what a wonderful smell.
It was a beautiful sunny breezy 65 degrees here today. I love a day like today. Not too hot, low humidity, breeze,,,oh my. heaven I went to town with hubby today. I bought a nice soft tablecloth to make napkins out of. I also found 5 devotional books at Sal. Army. A few groceries and we were done.
Walked a mile today in all the stores.
For breakfast, whole wheat toast with P.B., strawberries, soy milk For lunch, burger bun with lettuce and tomato, and small order of fries at Burger King For supper, asparagus, corn on the cob, strawberries with biscuits. For snack, some graham crackers and popcorn Patty
hi jan, i make better than candy pie a lot. we love it. dave doesn t have any idea it is good for him!! i am sure it will be a hit at the tops meeting.
i rode my horse this morning before it got too hot. it was so good to be on his back again. he went so good for me until the end. he didn t try to buck me off but he did buck. i think maybe he was done for the day because it was getting hot and he was probably getting tired. so was i.
when my dryer was broke last year i had to hang the towels outside and they were never soft. they smelled good but were scratchy. i tried different fabric softeners but nothing worked. i do like to hang out the clothes especially the sheets.
not much going on here today.hope your day is wonderful. cindy

I'm just getting here and was surprised a topic wasn't started from the girls in the earlier time zone. Well, we'll start one now.
It's a gorgeous day here - sunshine and 64 but feels just comfortable. I've been cleaning house, washed clothes and some of them are hanging on the line. Do any of you hang towels on the clothesline and if you do, how do you do it without them being rough as sandpaper? Line dried things smell so good.
I made Lazy Day Macaroni Salad from Heart Smart. Along with the elbow macaroni it has some thawed frozen peas, dill relish, shredded reduced fat cheddar in a ff mayo dressing. I really like this one. DH is having clams tonight and it will go well with that.
We just heard our first firework and it was loud- couldn't be legal but they don't do anything about that here.
I'm taking a breather before I check the clothes on th line. Then I need to make some more yarn octopuses for my TOPS group.
I think for this weekend we'll have some of the all American hotdogs, hamburgers, "fried" chicken. JoAnna salads and desserts. Then we can go play and it won't be hard to put a meal together.
I might do the progam at TOPS tomorrow if one of our members who has been sick isn't back to do one. Want to know what I'm going to do? I'm going to talk about healthy desserts and how we CAN still have dessert. I'm going to bring some of my Healthy Exchanges cookbooks and do a demonstration making Better Than Candy Pie. That's what I saw JoAnna Lund make when she was at Portland Fred Meyers. I'm also going to bring some fresh sliced fruit to show how luscious that can be for those who can't or won't eat sugar-free products. They can have a tiny taste of the pie - that is allowed occasionally at meetings.
