Good job on the walking.
Do you hold your hands down when you walk? Could that be making your fingers swell up? If you do, try to carry them up higher, and maybe move them or squeeze your fingers periodically.
Just a thought.

Good morning ladies,

Surprise! The sun is shining here. I'm going on a walk with whoever shows up from my TOPS group. I was really pleased to receive a Sparkpeople Consistency award.

The only thing I've done so far is make the coffee and do a few dishes that didn't fit into the dishwasher last night.

Patty, You sure have had a busy morning.

Cindy, My fingers swell when I walk long distances (like several miles). I don't wear my rings when I go for walks.

I am committed to using the Sparkpeople Nutrition Tracker and Exercise Tracker. I fill a water container that holds 3 cups, and then refill it two times during the day. With the nutrition tracker, I'm doing well except I was above my sodium recommendation a couple of times last week so I'm working on that.

hi patty and all that follows. you have a lot more done than i do already. all i have done is iron and dust throughout the house. i am getting ready to go to the barn and do chores and then work in a few more small flowerbeds.

i would like to shed a few more pounds. i think i need to drink more water. i notice my hands and ankles tend to swell some during the day. i do use joannas receipes often. dave and i both like them. i make a lot of her pies.

so, what is everyone up to today? cindy

Good morning Girls,
I exercised
I vacuumed upstairs, main floor, and swept the floors.
I am changing from the zone cleaning schedule that I was on. I really liked it, in that once I did the cleaning for that day, I was done with it for a week.
But, we have a shedding dog and a cat. I need to vacuum more than once a week. I am just trying to keep up with it. When something needs doing, I do it.
I just started it this last weekend, so we will see what happens.
So, for today, the floors are done. I didn't mop again though.
Maybe tomorrow I will do dusting, and such.
We shall see how this works for me.

Going to lunch later, then what? I don't know, crocheting on DD afghan maybe. Did I already tell you, that I took out what I had done on it? I didn't like the way it looked with those colors. So started a new one, and I like it so much better with this other pattern. I am about 1/4 done I think. You crochet the length of it, not the width, with an L hook. A nice big one. Makes it go fast, and I surely like the way it looks much better than the other one. One of these days, I will put pics of both ghans on my blog. So you can see for yourself.
I didn't like the way the first one was looking, so I wouldn't work on it. lol

What are you doing today and/or this week to aid in your summer weight loss?
Any good recipes that you have tried?
Any hints for us?
Me, just exercising.
Eating on a smaller plate, not a dinner plate.
That's it for me.
