Evening Girls, We got lots and lots of snow over the weekend. Hubby had to plow twice...yes, it is getting really cold in FL. Not good for citrus, as well as just walking around huh...lol
Took MOm to the store and we visited with cousins. Mom had a bad day today, forgetting her words, and repeating stories twice within a few minutes. Poor Mom. It sure is hard to see her like this. We met with cousins again. They are leaving Sat. for Cal. They have 2 daughters and a sister out there. They are 80 and 84, so hope they have a nice winter where it is warm.
Sarah, I remember something about unflavored gelatin for soft nails. Can't remember though if you drank it or soaked your fingers in it...Someone else may remember. Or check online for soft fingernails, you will find all kinds of home remedies probably. Maybe you are even missing a vitamin or mineral... Patty
I have never made Amy's Goulash either. Makes me mad when I see it on the W W site and the person getting credit for it isn't JoAnna but a gal by the name of Amy who has her own cook book out. I'm sure most people think the original recipe is Amy's. I like her recipes and do have one of her cook books but think you should credit due to the where it belongs.
Peanut butter and pickle sandwich. Never heard of that but I'm not a pickle eater. Never have been.
I got grocery shopping done today and haven't done much else. I know you cold people don't want to know that our temp today was 70.

I haven't made it in a long time, I bet I used tomato sauce rather then soup as well.
Yeah, I don't know how I would do with out onion and garlic either. To tell you the truth, with out them I think the majority of HE recipes would be bland. But, they are great doctored up with the garlic and onion. :)
I guess my problem with it was the tomato soup made it kind of sweet tasting to me. I add garlic too. In fact I added garlic, green pepper and diced carrot and after tasting added tomato sauce. I wrote on the recipe next time use tomato sauce or diced canned tomatoes rather than the soup. But like I said that was just how it tasted to me.
That is why it is so great that HE has so many recipes.....something for every taste! :)
Heather I don't know what I would do without my garlic and onions.
Today the sun is out and it just makes you feel energetic. Then I opened the door and in rushed the cold air...brrrr! I know our cold isn't so bad as other parts of the country but we are just so use to warm temps that when it gets cold we just freeze.
Well I finally made Amy's Amazing Goulash, if I remember correctly I think it is from 2000 newsletter. I had to really doctor this recipe, so I was disappointed. I guess I should have known by looking but I just kept seeing goulash and it just plain ole sounded good!
So what is everyone up to today? Are all the Christmas decorations put away? I hate seeing them go, so festive with wreaths and trees and the pine smell is just heavenly.
I'm having an awful time with my fingernails. They are so soft that I can't get any length to them. I eat protein so I don't know what else to do. Does anyone use anything on their nails to help them grow or strengthen them?
