Louise, I think DS is doing better but that is such an ornery disease. Stress aggravates it. You are probably feeling some of that with your daughter being ill. I hope you aren't headed into a diverticulitis attack. Keep us posted.
DS came home from work last night with the news that the chef under the owner/chef will be quitting soon. They have gotten along and worked well together. There's a whole lot there I won't go into (the job). Then there's the guy they think will replace him. Bad news.

Jan, How is DS#1? I think my diverticulitis is acting up. I was trying to figure out what I ate that might have caused it. All I can think of is that I did not chop up the onions really, really fine that I put in my meatballs. I am not sure that was it but I am not feeling well. Poor DD did not feel well all day. Besides her problem she is going to have the operation for, her asthma has been acting up. For Arizona it is cold and when it is cold her and my asthma starts flaring up. Other than that we had a wonderful Christmas. My mother-in-law and father-in-law actually stayed most of the day. My DMIL decided about 5p.m. she needed to get back to the hospice home. So I was really glad they were able to stay for a long time. She actually ate twice--once for lunch and once for dinner. That is something they never do! She said she could eat the meatballs and rice pasta easily. I am glad I decided to make that instead of buying the prepared meal. We did not go overboard on gifts this year. That was good because that is not what Christmas is about. Anyway, tonight I did get some dancing in for exercise. I got some new CD's so I danced to them. Well, it is still Christmas here in Arizona so MERRY CHRISTMAS! GOD BLESS! Louise
We had a very nice dinner last night. My big old roast just fell apart it was so tender. Picky eater GS made a meal of a little roast, come apple sauce I put out for him and rolls. I'm glad I'm not his parents. Then of course he was ready for ice cream when dinner is over.
Even though the meal was pretty easy and I had even cooked a couple of things the days before, I was still tired last night. I went to bed a bit earlier but the darn lights out side hadn't gone off and I think I could have read in bed.
This morning I was up early cutting up fruit and later wondered why I bothered. I think DH and I were the only ones that ate any. I had taken o j, bacon, frozen waffles and the fruit to DS house for breakfast. We stayed until noon when the EX DIL came to pick up GS. I really was glad to leave. The big screen TV was going with a football game on and GS IPod was going with new speakers he got. I'm too old for all this stuff.
Another football game starts here in two hours. No big meal tonight. I'm going to find a movie to watch. I might make a pizza with some canned French Bread I have. I'll look through JoAnna's Pizza cook book and see if I can't find something that it will work with.

We don't have to be anywhere today. We may go out for a brief walk. I fed the guys a good breakfast. DS#1 says he was sick all night - I think the diverticulitis acting up.
Patty, when I was a little girl my aunt made me a nightcap and her DH wore one, too, because he was bald. She always had the furnace off at night and the window open a little for fresh air. I'm so glad your wood stove is toasting things up nicely.
I have a pork roast in the oven and we'll have a meal in the afternoon because DS works at 4.
Our driveway is pure ice...stay safe out there girls. We went to DD this morning to see the grands open gifts. Then home again, had ham and baked beans for lunch. I have chicken and rice soup cooking for supper... DS and more grands will come over sometime this afternoon.
The wood stove is going, and we are nice and toasty. Now I need to loom knit another bed hat. the pink one was too big for sleeping in. Kept coming off...lol Patty
