Hi Ann and Deb and all who will follow! Deb, please give your cat a hug from me. I miss our little guy that we had for 14 or 15 years. I think after the holidays we will get a cat. I love cats!!! I am with you, I don't like crowds!!! Ann, I think it is great that you are having your T-dinner tonight! Enjoy the night with your husband! Today was busy. I went to the school I used to work at to help my daughter do chapel. Then we went to the gluten-free bakery and bought "goodies" for Thanksgiving. Then I drove her to the chiropractor/physical therapist as she still cannot drive yet. Then we went to Whole Foods so I could buy foods I know are gluten-free. I found some gluten-free Italian bread crumbs so I am going to make my meatbalss. I put everything in my meatballs--grown organic beef, gluten-free cheese, chopped onions, gluten-free Italian bread crumbs, eggs, chopped mushrooms and portebello marina tomato sauce. This is the first time I am making them gluten-free so we shall see how they come out. I will bring them to our friends house to share along with the gluten-free goodies. I will not tell them that they are gluten-free and see how they like them. My daughter and I will eat before we go to the hospice home my DMIL is in but DH
will eat there. Amyway, about an hour after supper tonight I am going to dance for exercise and then start making the meatballs. Well, everyone, please have a Wonderul Evening and HAVE A VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
A friend had a group of us over on Sunday for Thanksgiving dinner - it was yummy. But I do miss the leftovers, so I stopped by Honeybaked Ham on Monday and picked up one of their turkey breasts. So, I'll have a little bit of turkey tomorrow and Friday, then pack the rest of it up in the freezer.
Tomorrow I'll watch the Detroit parade on TV. I remember when I was little we would go to the building where my Dad worked and watch the parade from the lunchroom window - where it was warm and dry and they had cookies and hot chocolate.
I already explained to Sky (my cat) that we would NOT be getting up at 7 AM to go to the pet store to get the 50% off sales. He wasn't to disappointed when I told him that there would be "yippy" dogs there. I don't think that there is anything that they would have on sale that I absolutely have to have. It seems the older I get the less I like being in BIG crowds.
Hope everyone has a great day

I'm guessing everyone is busy cooking today. Since we're eating our T-Day dinner tonight I have a lot of the work done. DH will do his turkey thing and I just have to cook the potatoes and make biscuits. The sweet potatoes will go in the crock pot in 1/2 an hour. The rest is just reheat in the microwave.
Randella, Heather says you have the formula for adjusting the Sanalac powdered dry milk that calls for different measurements than the Carnation brand.
I must have missed that as at the time I didn't need it. Please post it again.
