I'm waiting for the mailman, I need to go to the bank with membership dues for the RV club and I'm expecting two more checks. Sure as I leave before todays mail they will be there waiting when I get home.
Today has been a bundle of fun so far. Yesterday I ordered flowers for DIL in N. C. on line. She is home from her surgery. DS had given me the name of a local florist. When I ordered them there was no place to give a credit card to pay for them. So I called this morning and got an answering machine. The lady did call back and I gave her the info and she said she could not find their road on her map. So I in Ca. am giving her driving directions to the road which is called a Pass. in N. C. Good thing I've been there a time or two.
Then to wash some towels. While looking in some stuff DH had found a yard square piece of a spongy type of material that I have used to make envelop/covers for things including one for the portable electric heater in the motor home. That way it doesn't bang around in the cabinet I store it in. I told DH to leave it out and I would wash it with the towels and make a new heater cover. The old one is getting beat up. (can you see where I'm going with this) When the towels were done I went to put them in the dryer. What a mess!!!!!!!!!!. Little pieces of spongy fabric stuck to every towel and the sides of the washer. And DH just cleaned the area, the traps, vent, drain and the floor under the two. I shook all the towels and brushed off the mess and put them in the dryer. Swept up the floor and filled the tub with water to make sure there weren't any pieces in the other parts of the washer. Then every 15 min. I went out and cleaned the dryer lint filter. I even dipped out water into two buckets that DH can put on the grass. Then I decided I better run the rest of the water through the washer to flush any lint out. This really made my day.
I guess my shoulder is getting better as I can raise my arm where I couldn't before. Just seems like the occasional throbbing should go away. I'm not use to having body parts hurt.
DIL is on a soft diet so I emailed some of the W W fluff recipes with gelatin or pudding and yogurt and Cool Whip. DS can handle kitchen duties very well. At least one of my three is kitchen friendly.
I hope everyone else with their aches and pains gets better real quick. It's not fun being under the weather.
Jan, I see Lincoln City had its share of high winds. That seems unusual for that area. I hope the wind has gone by now.
La. and Ala. and part of Fl. look like more bad weather on the horizon. I sure hope the storm dies out before it hits land. Those areas have suffered enough for a while.

Louise, My prayers for your daughter and also for you as you work out what you can eat. Reminds me of an allergy rotation diet an ND put me on some years back. You never ate the same thing two days in a row and the choices of combinations were weird. I remember standing in the supermarket with this list to see what was possible that day. It worked, though.
Patty, you're in my prayers.
Okay, back to planning those nine meals.

There is a hurricane in the Gulf, winds blowing and rain on the horizon from the hurricane bands...this is Florida today. It looks like we have once again dodged the bullet so far not even a sniff of hurricane warnings this season.
I am still feeling the sadness of the sudden closing by Gina. I understand that you have decisions to make in life and you have to do the things that are best for you and your family and we all make those decisions the best way we can. I wish her well as I'm sure she does for all of us. I do wish she would surface and communicate though.
Jan the church Thanksgiving dinner sounds wonderful! A great day for fellowship and for sharing blessings. I'm eager to hear what you plan, I have Chili from Man in Mind planned but that is about the extent of my planning! lol
I hope it is a great day for all!

Good Morning Deb, Jan and Heather! Deb, I also agree with you. Healthy Exchanges was like a family. We said that before. I am glad James contacted us. I pray that he continues. Jan, please let us know what meals you planned out. I am having trouble now figuring out what I can and cannot eat because of the div. attack. I go up to the Cancer Treatment Center tomorrow to see the doctor. I am also going to make an appointment with my Naturopathic Doctor to come up with a meal plan. Then I can look through JoAnna's cookbooks and improvise if I have to. We are waiting for tests results for my daughter. She is in so much pain today. She was in the morning but she went to her chiropractor and he did help her. He told her to go for short walks. So that will help me also. Well, everyone, please have a VERY WONDERFUL MONDAY! Yes, please people who may be lurking on these boards, come and post. We need each other! GOD BLESS! Louise
I'm still in shock over Gina's sudden announcement. But we will move on and only grow thinner, healthier and stronger with the support of everyone here.
I was pleased to see James' post and so many others that have "lurked" in the background. I realize that we all have lives, some busier than others, but please take the time to drop us a line and just say "HI". I'm guilty of that, either I'm too busy or I feel that I have nothing to contribute so I don't post.
I've let many things "slide" for too long, I have a feeling that this may have just been what I've needed. I can't lose JoAnna for a third time. I need you, we all need each other. As they say "it takes a village to raise a child", but that child can be any age, even 59.
Ok, I'm off my soapbox. I've got bills to pay, clothes to wash and a a job to find. On Saturday, I've got a Coder's meeting, so I need to print my resume and have it ready for that job that's just waiting out there for me. They keep saying "it's not what you know, it's who you know".
So take care and I'll catch ya' all between dryer loads.
