Heather, the things you are bringing to the potluck sound good. I hope you got your lean protein.
Louise, Sorry you had the asthma problem but I hope it all turned out good today. Small children can sure change in just a six month span. I'm glad you're enjoying teaching.
Ann, I try to keep the big turkey dinners to Thanksgiving but DS#2 brings us one every Thanksgiving from his employer and I got one free so I needed to use it up. Also works well since DS#1 is eating mostly chicken, turkey, fish and fresh fruits & veggies. This will keep him busy this week. The book and a movie sounds good. I rented Night in Rodanthe- will probably watch it tomorrow because it has to go back Tuesday.
Vicki, There's nothing like sitting in a hot tub and watching the weather go by. When I lived in a big city and worked I went to a massage lady who always put me in her hot tub in the back yard first thing. I remember sitting there under the trees watching the snow flakes come down one day.
Sarah, thank you for the recipe ideas. I love beets! I've been getting golden beets from the CSI but there weren't any in my box today.
Well, I'm really excited there's a new series of Agatha Christie shows on Mystery/Masterpiece Theater.
I took some pictures of my son's trail in the woods. He made the arches by fastening elderberry trees together and then reinforcing them with twigs and branches. Then he puts interesting little objects around - there's a gate of driftwood. One day when he went down there to work on his trail he discovered someone else made an arch and contributed some things to the "found objects". We don't know who it is but we think maybe either an older man who walks by occasionally or a young teen. I don't know if we'll ever know. I'll add some of the pics to my Sparkpage.
