Now I am confused! I made the assumption that you lived in South Dakota, but when you talk about going down to sea level that just doesn't fit.

It as been clear all day up here by Mt. Rainier. I understand that Seattle was cloudy and humid today. We do have a lot of humidity up here too.

What was the movie you were watching. The only one I can think of that ran that long was "Gone With The Wind" I know there must be others.

I can't imagine getting rid of closets. I live in a house that only has one and we need lots more. Wish I could afford a carpenter. I have a lot of room to put closets. I don't like small windows either. I am really pleased with my bathroom which has a huge glass brick shower. It is big enough for a shower chair and still very comfortable.

There aren't enough cupboards in my kitchen and I can only reach a little of what is here. If I ever get to remodel the kitchen the upper cupboards will be glass on both sides so the light can come through them. I hate to cut out so much cedar but I need a thorough remodel.

Today is the last day of May Gray and now we enter June Gloom. I'm not complaining because inland a few miles it is in the 80's. Yesterday it drizzled enough to even wet the street and side walk. They said we had 0.04 inches of rain. I wondered if GS baseball playoffs would be cancelled but his game was at 4 p.m. and it was quite dry down there. At sea level. After the game we come up the hill and it is drizzling again.

Today I started watching what I thought was a 2 hour movie. At the end of 2 hours it was still going and we were ready for an early supper at our soup and salad restaurant up the road. DD taped the rest of it for me and that was another 2 hours. A good movie on the Lifetime channel.

I got a tour of our neighbors house next door that is under going major renovation. DH wanted me to see the insulation that is being put in. Our houses were not insulated when they were build. They are making their kitchen a lot bigger and adding air conditioning. Smaller windows on one side of the house to block out the neighbors drive way and noise. I don't care for the smaller windows. They are taking out a closet to put a shower in the half bath. That doesn't really make sense to me as two people in two bathrooms really can't take a shower at the same time. They'd run out of hot water. There is only two of them in the house now. His teen age son will come to live with them later this summer. They took out the two linen type of closets and a coat closet. That doesn't make sense to me. Also the kitchen has the sink on one end of the room and the refrig. on the other end. A good 10 feet away. I like my smaller kitchen where there isn't so much walking. To each their own. They are a couple in their early 50's or late 40's.

Well the backstory on the curb garden is that last year the neighborhood kids cut every single iris the same day the bloomed. I noticed they had bloomed that morning when I went to work, and that evening every flower was cut. This year, they pulled them out rhizomes and all - right out of the ground!!! So. . . I got fed up and dug them all up, cleared the curb and decided to plant flower seeds that are self-seeding and perennial (a few annuals in there too) so that the kids could pick flowers, I could enjoy flowers instead of weeds and they would not be bothering my more desirable plantings. Hopefully everyone will be happy when it's all said and done.

Dinner tonight is Joanna's pot roast soup, green beans, and crescent rolls. Yummy!!

Your dinner sounds really good - what is Panang chicken? Save me a brownie please.

I am sitting at the computer enjoying the quiet here. The sun is shining here too. It is hot outside, for me hot is anything over 75 degrees. I think we will be going into town later to pick up an exercise bike. We also need to pick up some groceries. That seems like an endless chore. We will be having company this evening. Dinner menu: Panang chicken, dark green vegetable, colorful salad with lots of healthy vegetables and fruit, and brownies.

Your curb garden sounds so cheerful and welcoming. I have forget-me-nots growing wild in front of the house. I love them. I am picking some to dry and use for crafts at Christmas time.

Good afternoon friends,

It is a gorgeous sunny day here and will be in the 80s today so I'm trying to get the inside chores done so I can head outside. I have one more section of weeds by my curb to clear and then I can put the zinna, wildflower, and impatiens seeds out there and let it go to town.

I've cooked 6 lbs of chicken already this morning and diced, shredded, and cut it into strips and bagged it up for the deep freeze. I need all the time savers I can get since school will be starting up again on the 9th.

I walked 2 miles with Leslie this morning and used the walk belt. What a workout!!!!

I'm heading over to Target once hubby comes back with the groceries and I get them put away and dinner going.

What are the rest of you up to today?
