Linda: It's great you found a soup you enjoy. I've never been good at cooking ALL Healthy Exchanges recipes for one meal but I might use a main dish recipe or dessert. Emotional eating is a mean critter and it can sneak up on you at the best of times. One thing that helps me is writing down everything I eat whether it's on my plan or not. Seeing it written or knowing I will have to write it down makes me more accountable. I go to TOPS weekly and that is another face-to-face accountability. We just started a contest where we get points each week (10 weeks) if we exercise, drink 64 oz. water, lose weight or maintain if we're at goal, bring a canned good for the local food bank, write down everything we eat. TOPS is the only group I've seen that has people who've reached their goals attend regularly for support.
Vicki, It's good to hear from you. It's nice you have a good addition to your child care group. Sorry to hear your DH isn't doing much better. Has to be really frustrating for both of you.
Ann, I hope someone really enjoys the table & chairs.
No, we haven't found the cat bowl. DS has many of his own things stored in his room for when he is on his own again so I think the bowl is under something.
Well, we had a scare this morning. DS got up and said he didn't sleep well and had to open his window because he smelled fumes. After checking it out, we discovered the gas barbecue grill somehow was releasing some propane and that must have gotten into the vent in his end of the house. DH closed the thing down and it's okay now.
We actually had a bit of snow on the ground this morning but it didn't last long at all. Now it's foggy and I can hear the fog horns every now and then.
Tomorrow I'm making that Cherry Chicken from the January newsletter.
