Hi there. Just joined this weekend and now it's back to work and a regular routine. Want to take time to tell you a bit about myself, but that might have to wait until tomorrow. It's nearing midnight and I'm exhausted. Can't wait to get to know all of you. Carol

Good Evening! I just wanted to come and say "hello". I am a little tired. This was my first day back to work after two weeks off. The children were great! We actually got a lot of things done. However, tomorrow I have some boys coming who have a lot of energy and don't know how to handle it. I still got some presents today. One was a beautiful statue. I am not sure how to describe it but it one that has no face painted on it. It was an angel one. I have gotten some in the past. I guess there is a collection. I am not good at describing things so I kind of hope you get the picture of what I am trying to say. Anyway, just wanted to see how everyone is. GOD BLESS! Louise
Good Evening, I tried to get on inbetween two grocery shopping trips but couldn't get the thread to pull up. I will have to make a trip to the produce store for tomatoes, green onions and a couple of lemons and that will be it for the camping Fri. night dinner and Sat. Continental Breakfast. Wed. I will also bake two angel food cakes for the dessert.
I went to Costco for the chicken breasts and sampled 4 little energy beans. They were jelly beans that are suppose to have some 'energy' stuff in them. They were delicious but my 'energy' left me real quick. lol
Jan, how old is your mother? I know my mother keeps talking that she wants to go back to her house. I have no idea how she thinks she is going to fix her meals etc. The one neighbor that has always shopped for her, stops to see her every few days and said she knew mother wanted to go back to the house. She agreed with me that if this younger couple will keep her, she is much better off. The fellow even fixed up a chair that she can sit on in the shower and I guess the seat swivels to get her legs in. The neighbor said trying to keep up with her medication is another thing.
Deb, I know you will be happy when your classes are over and you graduate. I never liked to study for tests. Now my DIL said she could memorize for tests but after the test it was gone.
MMC--- I see you responded that you signed up for the premier membership. Do join us on our daily thread.
Christmas is put away here and I'm making plans for the gardens in the spring as well as decorating and painting my kitchen. My walls will be butter yellow, the cabinets white, and the theme will be Mary Engelbreit. If you're not familiar with her, here's a link to her website.
Deb, I know what you mean about classes; mine started back up last Friday and it was hard to switch from vacation mode to school mind. I have to meet with an advisor Thursday to plot my school career going forward ie., bachelor's or associate's, does mediation training pose a conflict of interest with the Bar Association, set up my internship, etc etc. I'm a little nervous.
Working out teaches me about challenging, yet being patient with myself.

There are 1440 minutes in a day, set aside 30 for exercise.
We've been staying up later and getting up later ever since New Years Eve. I guess we don't have to be up early for any reason but it makes for a strange day.
Had a call from my sister that Mom wasn't doing well but when my sister called her, she had forgotten what she was concerned about. She is still having dizzy spells and doesn't want so many hospice people coming over so they are cutting it back to the once a week nurse and the lady who bathes her.
I made the Peach Melba Cottage Cheese Salad from Strong Bones today but I didn't have raspberries so just left them out. It was pretty good that way, but spectacular with the raspberries.
Deb, that has to be really frustrating to get part way through that trial test and have it poop out on you! I admire your courage at going back to school.
Does everyone have Christmas put away? I'm still working on it but things are a lot better.
I'm at the library trying to do a practice test for an upcoming MS Word exam. The practice test has 79 questions, and for some reason I can never get all of the answered before my internet connect goes down. Today I was on 79 when it was lost.
Classes start back up this week, along with the snow. Only four more class meetings before we go back to medical terminology. During the holiday break I did a little reviewing just to keep the mind sharp. Believe me I need more than a little.
