I was went to bed early and then got up 11:30-12:30, then slept until 7. While I was up doing my online jigsaw puzzle I saw a high wind warning for here. It passed through this morning but all has been quiet for awhile. We are supposed to get about 2" rain today and tomorrow.

I wonder why you don't have to log in over at HE? Doesn't that mean the spammers could come back? It's good to know Joan is there. I wonder why more people don't come here? I don't think it's disloyal or anything to use both site. I hope if anyone is out there lurking they feel welcome to just chime right in with the rest of us

I think it's a rare person who doesn't have Unfinished Objects (hobbies). I've got a lot of "some day I'll starts", too.

A really great quilt fabric store over on the Washington peninsula is closing out soon and I saw patterns for the cutest little animals and a clown out of yo yos. The quilts are cute but this could be another way to use them up.

I am looking forward to the book club, too.

As I sit here at the computer I can see three framed pictures that need to be hung here in the corner. By the door is a copper enamel picture of a bird on a branch that needs hanging over the light switch and in another corner is a painting that needs hanging. I think it has been 5 months that they are waiting for me to put some nails in the newer painted room and hang them up. I'm another one that puts some things off.

I also use to do punch embroidery and still have a box of threads. I have at least 50 spools of Mexican embroidery thread in the most beautiful colors that I used for machine embroidery. I hate to give them away but know I won't work with them. I was hoping my GD would like my cake decorating supplies. She is 28. My mother was the rug hookers. Three years ago we took all her wools, frames, dyes etc that filled the bays of our motor home, the trunk of the car and back seat of the car, to my DIL in N. C. She thought she would like to learn how to hook.

I came on the computer to pay a bill so better do it and then get back to gathering stuff to put in the motor home for the week end camp out.

I visited HE today and was pleasantly surprised to see Joan#1 posting again. Since you don't have to log in anymore maybe more people will go back to posting.

I know what you mean about unfinished projects. I have several of my own. Eventually, I will get to them all.

I have to get out my Joyful book and start looking through it. I'm very excited about reviewing some recipes again like we used to.

WOW good deal on the cat food!

I have never done crewel. I really like using Sulky Embroidery thread over floss, it's thicker and easier to use.

We used to do rug hooking a long long time ago, as well as punch embroidery.

Really? That's neat. You will have to post pictures of the yo yo's when you make them. I know a few years back the craft stores would sell little packs of them to use as accents on projects. I used to embroider a lot. Most of my embroidery was done in crewel. I found it hard on my eyes to do the floss. I used to do a little rug hooking too.
Well I am off to Petco to buy fancy feasts. You can get 24 cans for 50 cents a piece there. Albertsons sells them for 75 cents a can.

As for the UFOs (UnFinished Objects) I think EVERY one has those! lol haha I know I have a ton.

Yes, I have heard of yo-yo quilts, and funny enough I am going to try to make one in starting in January!

I love to embroider too.

I am one of those people who wake up about every hour or hour and a half so I never feel rested. I guess I shouldn't save never but it is really a rare night when I sleep like I should.

I am going through my book too Heather looking at recipes that I am going to cook in December. Confetti Meatloaf for one. Pot Roast Meatloaf too.

I am trying to clear out my sewing room and I came across a whole bunch of yo yo's that I sewed in 1983 and never joined them together. Do any of you know or ever heard of a yo yo quilt? I first learned about them when I was about 15 and belonged to Girls Missionary Guild we would all sew them and then send them to far away places. After finding some of these things I have come to the conclusion that I have a few quirks in my personality I start things but I don't finish. I guess joining yo yo's will be another added thing to do. They are really pretty and they would look nice in the extra room lets see, I have unfinished yo yo's, unfinished crochet projects, unfinished embroidery projects, lots of scrapbooking to do, What was I thinking?

I am making spaghetti today not a HE recipe but I had a jar of classico sauce and thought I should use it. It's very good and easy. I put it in the crock pot . I love crock pot cooking so I am glad that we will be doing that book soon.

I have such a cold I guess it's that time of the year to catch everything.

Good Morning!! How is everyone this morning? I went
to bed really early last night so I woke up at 2a.m.
I usually do get up at 4a.m. but I am not sure I like
getting up two hours earlier!! Our school is closed today so we have the day off. We were suppose to have an in-service day but a week ago we had a mandatory staff meeting which covered everything we were suppose to cover today. I will not be going to work until Friday. My daughter is having an outpatient surgery tomorrow and I am taking her. She usually has bad reactions to the medications so I
am taking Thursday off just in case she need me. Of course, she is taking the rest of the week off. I will go in work on Friday. Friday usually is our low
days. I know a lot of preschools and daycares are losing children, we are getting more and more. That is good for us because about a month ago they were not sure if we would stay open in 2009. Right now it looks like we will and we will probably have to add more staff. Last month they had to lay some people off. Things change so quickly. Today I am cleaning my house. It really needs it.
