This morning I went to the doctor for my regular blood pressure check. It was good.

Yesterday we were discussing apricots. No, we do not have a tree. We are fortunate to live in a rural area with lots of good crops. Right now apricots is one of them. Peaches are starting too.

I enjoyed Mama Mia too. I have seen it twice and would go again if the opportunity came up.

It's time to start supper but I'm resting after a heavy grocery shopping trip and then putting everything away. DH and I went to the Marine base and after several stops I dropped him off at the storage lot to bring the motor home to the house. I went on to the commissary. I like to grocery shop on Monday and then I don't have to come home and fix supper but that didn't' work out this week. If I was smart I would have planned hot dogs. It's going to be a chicken couscous salad.

Vickie, I got green beans today. It's good your DH can start back to work slowly. I'm sure he will be tired but better than a full day for sure.

Jan, I read about that plane crash. How sad that innocent children are taken from their family. I hope your neighbors are having tar put on their roof. That stuff gives me a head ache even in cool weather.

Deb, I read Gina's post yesterday too and went back a few posts but never found the one that prompted her response. In my opinion the Yahoo web site is strange. So much duplication with out a low of flow to the threads.

My DD took me to the movies last night to see Mama Mia. We both really enjoyed it. She generally prefers the action type of movies. Even she could relate to the high wooden heeled wedge shoes they were wearing in one scene as she has a pair packed away in the garage. She said hers don't have sparkles on them. She probably doesn't fit them anymore either. The scenery was just lovely. If you like song and dance, there's a lot of it.

Off to the kitchen.

Deb, thanks for that information. I guess I missed the soapbox part before the edit. I guess it's frustrating for HE fans who were used to a well-run board some years back and for Gina picking up the pieces to make things go again. I wish her well.

Vicki: Exercise can be like that - sneaks up on you so you miss it when it doesn't happen. Have fun swimming.

Since I was gone all day yesterday I have lots to do. I hate chaos and that's what I have with the comibnation of our sons stuff, our stuff and some surplus stuff. I'm going to compact some things in the family room today. Plus it's going to be a hot one so I need to get out there to water. The people behind us are having a new roof put on and there are workers there hammering away with a view into our house emoticon TOPS tonight and then I'm going to a Women's Night Out at my friend's church.

Deb,
That first post sure had a big edit, LOL!

I still get the few emails from the HE group. Mostly Paulissa giving updates and the articles she posts. It's sad to see it has changed so much.

Very humid here today, too. Hope the job search takes an upturn for you. I sure wouldn't want to be out there looking for work right now. Good luck to you and anyone else looking.

Okay, I'm off of my soapbox. It's going to be another warm/hot/sticky day here in MI. BUT, relief is on the way for the rest of the week and into the weekend. YIPEE ! ! !

Back at the library this morning, since I didn't
make it here yesterday, I need to do double time and apply for more jobs. One of the big problems is that the same job is posted on two or three different websites and in your cover letter or resume you stress that you are an organized person. How organized to you look when you apply more than once?

So I hope that everyone has a great day and I'll check back in later.

Good morning!

It is a grey dreary day here with 100% humidity.

Have been watching them remodel the house across the street for about a month now. I am getting jealous! Hubby and I talk about doing some things but that is about as far as it goes. But I am the one who usually says, "not until there are no day care kids here"! They can be pretty hard on the house.

No big plans for the day but will probably go swimming with a friend tonight. We didn't go last week and I've actually missed it.

What are your plans for today?

Good Morning All !

The following was posted on the HE - Yahoo board yesterday by Gina and I thought I would pass along the info, since a number of you do not subscribe to that site. Please keep an open mind, because sometimes we only see/hear one side of the story.

This is part of a post where someone was asking for nutrient info - "You're right, the lack of traffic at the HE site is sad. I really don't understand why Gina invested in getting it redesigned if she didn't plan to finish the job. It's like it was made semi-operational then deserted. I've been lurking occasionally over at Heather's Spark People
site -- it's pretty active, with several of the original site's members posting, but I still miss so many cyber friends who used to be regulars at
the HE site."

This is Gina's reply

RE: [healthyexchanges] Need Some Help w/ Figuring the Serving Size Please

I would just like to comment on the HE website. I thought I had hired
someone to do a good job on the website but like everyone else in life these
days no one want to go above and beyond. I paid the thousand dollars to
have it to the point that I have it and after that the person lost interest
unless there was more money in it. I have had a lot of this thousand dollar
disease lately. I also needed some help with my computer book keeping
another thousand dollars for 10 hours of work. Until we get more
subscribers to the newsletter. I only have some many thousands to go
around. So the website is going to have to wait it's turn again.

Thanks for all of your support,

Gina
