I lost down to a healthy weight several years ago without exercising, then quit my eating plan and slowly gained it all back. This time I'm determined to get healthy and stay healthy for the rest of my life, and I quickly saw that I wasn't going to lose unless I exercised. So yes, I exercise 5-6 days a week.
We have some great exercise equipment in our basement - treadmill, recumbent bike, and elliptical trainer - but I mainly use Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds DVDs. Heather also recommended Richard Simmons' Sweatin' to the Oldies which I love. I usually combine a DVD with a few minutes on bike or elliptical, keeping everything low-impact. And I feel so much better!
