I know that varying the routine helps me a lot. If I do the same thing each day it does not seem like I am getting as good a workout after a few days. My body gets too used to it and then it is not as effective. I have my fav DVDs also, but I try to rotate them so that I am not working the same muscles in the same way all the time.

I've read that varying the routine from day to day like you do is also very helpful. I need to get better at that. I'm too quick to pop in the same DVD.

Thanks! I added the extra 15 minutes a day because I had come to a stand still at losing and when I added the extra exercise it started me losing again.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday I do one of my WATP workout videos and strength training.

Tuesday and Thursday I ride my exercise bike for 30 minutes.

Weekends, I usually just walk and sometimes ride my exercise bike too.

I have started adding an extra 15 minutes each day of either riding my exercise bike or doing a workout video from SP.

I lost down to a healthy weight several years ago without exercising, then quit my eating plan and slowly gained it all back. This time I'm determined to get healthy and stay healthy for the rest of my life, and I quickly saw that I wasn't going to lose unless I exercised. So yes, I exercise 5-6 days a week.

We have some great exercise equipment in our basement - treadmill, recumbent bike, and elliptical trainer - but I mainly use Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds DVDs. Heather also recommended Richard Simmons' Sweatin' to the Oldies which I love. I usually combine a DVD with a few minutes on bike or elliptical, keeping everything low-impact. And I feel so much better!

Not much lately. My knees have really been bad.

Yep. That's the question of the day. Are you exercising, and if so, what are you doing?

Me? I'm walking. Every morning my husband and I get up at 4:30 and walk one mile. It's not much, but it's all my ankles and feet can take right now. Our goal is to work up to 2 miles daily (all he'll have time to do before work) and then to supplement the walking with some other exercise.

So, what are you doing?
