as of 8 aug 12 we are totally debt free- it took two years, a bankrupcy filing, paying off the one credit card we were able to keep, paying back the parents-paying back the KIDS- and my best friend. we are not spendy or frivolous, it was my husband got laid off and out of work for two YEARS before we gave in and filed, my check just wasn't enough to live on. i have been lurking for a couple of years and would like to say how much support this group has been. things are better now-hubby has a job and we recently traded in the 12 year old car for a 5 yr old one that actually starts all the time. as of his and my next checks we will be able to use that majic word SAVINGS- just have the usual household bills and the car- i won't know how to feel!! thanx for reading my celebration- jackie
