Bank of America holds my mortgage. I have been trying to deal with them through their HOPE Team. January I started with this save our homes... it's now ... well you know... October and still nothing. This process takes so long I might well loose my home before it's done.
A few months ago I called the same phone number I'd been calling since Jan. and it wasn't in service! I tried other BOA numbers until finally I found a working one... when I asked the young lady on the phone what was going on she replied, "oh that happens sometimes, they get over worked and just change the numbers". I was also told that there was such a demand for "save our homes" that they got so backlogged that everything sent in before March/April (I can't recall at this moment) didn't count. That I'd have to start all over again! BOA never notified me of anything via mail or phone. As of yet I just keep calling and they just keep telling me that there is no update. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
yes they seem to be making their apperarnce here also . other also . did not like the way one of my credit cards change banks and as a result i am no longer shopping at that store . I dealt there for over 28 years . they changed to world bank and did not like what they said in my old bill . was paid in full but they said they did not want to send bills if you wanted a bill you had to pay a fee . every page of paper you paid a fee . if you paid at the store was not they way they wanted to do business . so as we could not agree so we parted ways .my shreder is getting a workout .

I closed my credit card from Bank of America years ago, when my ex-husband was trying to contact them for info that showed up on his credit report. He wanted to know what it was, but they didn't give info out since the card was in my name, but they notified me of the request. Even though they did not give out info, I closed it out because I didn't trust him. I didn't let him know either if he couldn't figure it out on his own.
You do know that they are doing this because they got caught forcing people into foreclosure illegally, right? They do not want any further investigation into these allegations, therefore, they decided to "altruistically" halt further foreclosures - just to protect their behinds. Sorry, didn't mean to sound condescending, just knew that you'd understand what's recently been revealed.
Okay. I am not in the mortgage market. But I do wonder if their halting of mortgage foreclosures is bad news for debtors to Bank of America.
I am almost positive their halting of the foreclosures (due to shoddy procedures) was hardly done out of altruism. Not for nothing, they did not get to be America's largest bank on their generosity ...
