That is the reason I don't bake cookies or cakes any more - now my three daughters are married with families of their own, I'm the only person here, and it is far easier not to bake unless I am expecting friends over. It's much easier to go without that first bite of something than it is for me to stop at just one cookie, or one slice of cake.

I have a horrible sweet tooth. That is my weakness.

I have fibromyalgia and on days when I am hurting really bad, I really crave sweets. Sunday, I had severe back pain and was in bed pretty much all day, and the whole day I was struggling with craving sweet stuff. Ended up going over with my calories that day, because I gave in to it. Did better yesterday.

I want sodas right now. Every now and then I get in this I want a diet soda kick and then it'll go away, but it hasn't gone away. I drank my last can yesterday thank goodness and ddn't have any today, but i still want one.

I ate sandwiches yesterday... and to make up for it and not go over my calorie limit, I skipped dinner. NOT good. Today I saw that I lost more weight though, so I'll forgive myself and try to get back on track again. I've been sort of stuck lately, mentally...

forgive yourselves and probably do 15 minutes, extra of cardio to make up for it. My trigger carbs, chocolate, lasagna, rice. But being good these days, Alhamdulillah. I take Sunday off and eat all I want to eat, yesterday I ate 4 musketeer minis and 3 donets, today strict diet.

Water's a tricky thing. Don't feel too bad if you're not getting the 'recommended' 64 oz of H2O. If you're eating fruits and veggies, you're taking in water.

The hubby, baby and I went to New York to visit family for 3 days...and I've been back for one day and I'm still on road trip mode. I ate a whole bowl of chips, then 2 ice cream popsicles, tons of sushi and didn't go for a walk like I intended or even hit the gym...ugh 2 steps forward 5 steps back!

I can't believe how slow this process is. Some days I feel pretty motivated but I guess the road trip messed me up a little. Inshallah tomorrow i will be more focused.

There's always this feeling of self-doubt banging at the back of my head. I am doing amazingly great right now, but sometimes I hear my inner voice saying this won't last.

I have discovered that too much sugar/carbohydrates make my skin break out. But sometimes I still resist sweets. I don't buy them nowadays, but attending baby hair shavings, weddings... one comes back with party packs and I hate throwing stuff away. LOL yesterday ate marshmallows. And my skin is horrendous now. Oh well. :-)

Well, my family went to mexico for a week and when I came back, I was now a whopping 160 lbs. Great! Gained an extra 5-6 lbs. Then 2 days after I got back, I started watching what I was eating, and going to the gym to start my daily 30 minute work outs. I was doing great until yesterday when I got sick...and for some reason my body is totally craving sweets. I just ate almost half a bag of chocolate chips, plus a chocolate fudgsicle, then a banana, and soup, and a diet coke...so digusted with myself.

I keep eating even though I am full. It's the snacking especially this month. Snacking after Iftar and before Fajr. I am trying to eat healthy but I still have some sweet junk food in the house and I eat it. The new stuff that I get is mostly healthy except for things the kids like but getting away from sweets is almost impossible.

But....FYI.... I just read this article today saying that just 15 minutes of excersize a day can prolong your life by 3 years.

Saturday, during almaghrib class in lunch break one sister invited all sisters to her house , there we had beryani , it was so yummy
after class there was an open house for our friend son (graduation ) there was a lot food, barbecue ,cake , candy, pasta you name it

Since last Saturday, I have been on a slippery slope. We had my daughter's first birthday and for the past week, I've been surrounded by the excess food. Candy, Smarties, burgers, kabobs, ice cream, more candy...I've been eating everything like it's going out of style...and did I mention the birthday cake? I ate about half of a slab cake over the span of this week...and that is my confession. There goes my 1 lb loss...
