So I've been nursing a sprained ankle for the past 3 months and not doing my normal workout... or any workout. I was finally ready to get back to training when I slipped down an escalator. No serious damage, but I have some wicked bruises and it hurts to walk. Hopefully by next month I'll be back on my feet.

Still jumping around a little bit. 120 this morning. If I had not stayed steady at 117.5 for so many months, day in and day out, I'd have an excuse to call it water-weight (which is what I've been doing!) I've got to get better focused and get back into at least 3 fitness classes a week -- that seems to be my magic number to stay tone, and for the last several months, 3 classes have been the exception, rather than the rule!

I'm so out of whack I keep forgetting what the scale said by the time I get online.

But I'm right in that 128-129 mark so, about 5 lbs over my ideal but I'm doing pretty well. I have been falling into that trap of making what's easiest when I get home after a long day, which is usually something like pasta or chili. Also I've been nursing a sprained ankle so my exercise routine is way off right now.

Hopefully having the scale back will keep me a little more motivated.

I FINALLY got the scale situation worked out. I just haven't had time to go to Bed Bath & Beyond in two months. But they were great about the whole thing, didn't even bother with the receipt or warranty stuff, just sent us back to get a new one and exchanged them.

And I'm at 128, which is about where I should be, so it looks like I did pretty well for myself over that long period!

119 this morning and my rings are snug, too. I've done a lot more fitness minutes the last few weeks, and see that as I'm entering this time of lower estrogen, fitness is definitely more important than it has ever been for weight management.

Good luck wiht BB&B. Hopefully, they will have a sympathetic manager working when you get there.

We returned yesterday from a nice long--weekend visit with our son and his wife in Philadelphia. (He's in grad school at UPenn.) It was fun spending Independence Day in the city where it all started. We attended an ice cream extravaganza as one of our activities. I definitely ate more sugar than should have, I did better than I would have before SparkPeople. The sugar has led to a good bit of water retention (I measure that through my ring fit), so I'm waitig until the rings fit normally before I weigh. Hopefully, tomorrow. :-)

I'm taking a vacation next week so we'll have to check in with each other when we get back.

That's one reason I haven't bothered with the scale yet. I'm going to try to eat right and exercise this week and over my vacation but not worry about my exact weight until I get back.

I've been out of town for a few days and will leave again tomorrow, so it will likely be next Monday before my next update. I was down to 120 this morning.

Way to go, both of you ladies for pressing on!

What a bummer about the scale. Have you tried going to the store and explaining your situation. I know that one of our department stores here in Raleigh would take it back with your word. It may be worth a try.

Well, my scale is officially broken. And the worst thing is it was still under warranty but it was a wedding gift so I don't have proof of purchase. We basically decided we weren't going to return anything so we threw out all the gift receipts emoticon .

Absolutely! Welcome to the team!

We're a little sparse right now but I think this is a tough weight range to maintain so it's important to help keep each other on track.

I was 129.6 this morning, but my scale also went completely nuts this morning (starting me at 148 and then ticking up lb by lb until it reached the scale limit) so I'm going to need to find a new one. Any recommendations?

121 for me this morning - the highest I've been in 18 months. Though it is within my goal range, I can tell that abdominal muscle tone is not what it has been - I've got to get back to a routine that involves Pilates at least a couple of times a week!

You were so wise to climb on the scales...the first step! I'm afraid that when I climb back on the scales tomorrow morning, that I'll be disappointed, too. With my last few weeks of school, I've not refused sweets (my nemesis) like I typically do, and haven't made time for fitness classes, either.

We both may be working to get back to maintenance weight by tomorrow evening. ;-)

Stuck at 138.2 for 4 days.

I started 3/6/07 at 149. I have lost almost 22 pounds.

You can do it, Trish. I plateaued over the summer at 132 and understand the frustration. Adding two hours of aerobics (Jazzercise) a week to my less than consistent other fitness activities was the key. You can do it! You CAN do it!

122.6 this morning

I seem to bounce around a lot. Recently, I've been from 119 to 123. Four pounds seems like a lot, but I keep track on a two week weighted average weight tracker. This morning my weighted average was 120.6 - so the daily fluctuations don't look so bad!
