But are you preparing your food together too? If so who's cooking? I know it's very difficult to be done but my mother (who prepares most of the food at home) started cooking adding almost no salt after I explained my problem. Who are not concerned about salt intake can easily add to their portions. emoticon

You know, SALT is not always the culprit. ME, I do all sorts of things to keep my BP in check, because just my one pill alone, is not enough. But salt....I don't ADD it, and I DO read labels.

I agree with donnalee24 prepared and canned food is usually salty-- frozen and unprocessed foods are best

The doctor queried my salt intake?
Any suggestions on how to lower it?
I know we cannot totally eliminate it since it is even contained in raw fruit and veg, but if you have any other suggestions I would be grateful.
