The living room is the only room I can put a treadmill in and to do so I'll have to get rid of a table and also replace my desk and the printer cart with a desk that is able to hold both and is also smaller than the desk I have now. I decided to go with an electric powered treadmill so now I have to figure out how to redo outlets to open up one for me to plug a treadmill into.

I care for my 88 year old mother who is disabled and I can only be away from her for 30/45 minutes at a time. I used to belong to a gym and would use the treadmill there. Now I am so gratefull for my treadmill in our small 2 bedroom apt. We each have tv's in our bedrooms and I have my computer in mine. Since we only use the living room when we have company, which is rare, since we have a very large family and we go to family homes for most occasions.
I put my treadmill in the living room instead of a sofa, and walk every day 3 to 5 miles:D

My apologizes for any cross postings between teams. Question....does or has anyone ever used a manual treadmill? If so what did/do you think. I have used the electric ones in the past and do good on them. I attempted a friends manual one time but I'm not sure if it was broken/messed up or if the use of one is just that bad...just know I was not able to use it. I was going to join our local community college's gym but I don't have anyone who can sit with my daughter. She is nearly 20 years old, has cerebral palsy and requires me lifting her up into my van (NOT an easy thing to do ESPECIALLY 5 days in a roll every week)...this is why I need to be able to have someone who can sit with her long enough for me to go to gym. Well, that's not working out SO I thought about getting a treadmill for home however, we live in a very small house and are VERY limited on space. I'd have to get rid of something to even make room for the treadmill (not sure how the hubby will like that). If I do this the only way I can afford doing so is going with a manual (not to mention finding a plugin will be difficult as they are mostly behind bigger pieces of furniture and not accessible and because of the space issue trying to move furniture around just isn't an option). I want truthful experiences with the manual ones...good or bad! Thanks!
