Thanks for the great information. I have been struggling with high BP for over a year and the Dr. is still trying to get the right combination of medicine. Very discouraging.

Thanks Ruthiebear, I've got several people to pass that along to. We all need to remain calm in these trying days.

My pressres was up about two weeks ago and it seems to be staying more at the mid range rather than low as when I was first on the BP meds. SO, I found this book at the local vitimin store call The Blood Pressure HOAX writitng by a medical doctor Sherry A. Roers, MD. She points out that we do not have a drug deficiency but other vitimin and mineral dificiency so I'm doing to try her suggestions, which are higher doses of certain vitimins and minerals along with a more strict diet. In todays world it's harder to do the strick diet, but I'm going to try. I really don't want to keep adjusting the med. up every three months. Try reading this book it will give you a good look into how our bodies work in terms we can understand. I will probably keep doing the meds untill I feel comfortable to try and get off of them if I ever can, but I do feel more comfortable building up my vascular system more with better food and vitimins.

Excellent article, Ruthie! Thanks. I get my chocolate by making a cup of cocoa w/2 tbs cocoa and 2 tbs Splenda and 1 cup of water (no milk--it negates the effect). A cup every day helps my BP.

Very good article. My blood pressure was higher at the Red Cross this AM than it has been at home. 134/94, pulse 80. I had gone for my walk, but not taken my Vitamins. Pressure right now at 4:15 pm is 110/70, pulse 78.
I remained VERY convince of the advantage of exercising.
