Still crumby feeling. Was better yesterday, but vertigo was back today. Have my granddaughter here now. Just gave her a piano lesson. We stopped at the library and got some books and DVD's since I knew I would n't be very exciting company. Recital on Sun. I'll sure be glad when that's over.

Hi there everyone.

It's been another long week, as I am SURE that it has been for everyone. To keep it short, I'll just say that i'm glad it's Friday.

I had to rush one of my dogs, Bullet is a Corgi, to the vet last night. We discovered a cyst like growth over his eye on his eyelid, which was not there yesterday morning. The vet said that it is not a cyst. And he said that if it requires surgery, he does not know how successful it will be without damage to that eye. Upon thinking back over the day, I told the vet that my DH had fallen out of his power chair that morning. And since Bullet is never more then a few inches away from DH, possible he hit his head on something in the process of trying to quickly get out of the way so that DH did not fall on him. Vet said that it's possible it is a goose-egg. Vet gave Bullet some anti-inflamatory to take home and said to bring him back if his eye is not looking better in 24 to 48 hours.

Bullet is DH's side-kick and best friend. You never see DH without Bullet being VERY close by & vice-versa. We have had Bullet for more then 12 years, having rescued him out of a neglectful situation. At that time DH was still able to walk, and the two of them bonded right off the bat. We do not know how many years that Bullet is past the age of 12, but I am thinking that he was at least 2 when we got him.

Would you all please say prayers for Bullet & DH.

For anyone who is Catholic, I am sure you were as shocked as I was with the news yesterday of the Pope going to retire. I pray that his health is not serious and that our new Pope will be a good one, maybe a more progressive one.

Forgot to mention... in case you all think I went crazy and am rich (LOL) - the girls things came from the $ store (I LOVE the $ store, but you do have to watch what you purchase). You can find some amazing things there sometimes. DH's candy was an "after Christmas" buy at Walgreens. It's a red tin, very "valentine-y" at half price, slippers and pants on clearance now. The belt I cringed as I bought, but it's special. And I DO have to buy him something not on sale now and then! LOL. Glenn Beck book was at the library for a $, on their for sale book cart.

Starr, I would like what you got. :) Even the pillowcase. I sometimes think I haven't grown up yet! LOL.

Yes, I gave all my Valentine's their gifts this past weekend except DH. His b-day is also Feb. 14th. He's my "real" Valentine. :) I gave the girls and oldest GD some lovely smelling bath salts and the prettiest "soaps". They look like roses. They loved them. To use them you just break off a petal. Got DH a box of candy (large) - he loves sweets too like me. Also got him some fleece lounging pants - gray camo, and black slippers, a Glenn Beck book (Common Sense), and his "real" b-day gift is a belt I got on our trip. He had seen it and I could tell he liked it. It has eagles and the American flag on it. I know he's going to love it.

I pray for you all also. I have to admit this jogs my mind to remember everyone tho. I like having this reminder. I remember to pray for people like Starr and Teresa, but sometimes forget others who aren't as "obviously" in need. Shame on me.

Were suppose to get 6 inches of snow today, oh goodie. NOT!

Are you ready for Valentine's day? I am. Went to the dollar store yesterday and got DH & both DD's a small box of candy, both DH & oldest DD a "Jesus" tee-shirt, and youngest a pillow case with Princess Disney characters on it. I am hoping that they all will like.

Danlin, I understand. I still have my mom, but she isn't my mom really (alzheimers). It's just her shell really. I miss having my mom to talk to, to ask questions, etc. I still have to go thru "losing" her again as well. Life is as they say, a veil of tears.

sad day for me today. My mom would have been 94 years old today if she was still with me. it will be 8 years that she has been gone towards the end of Feb. I still miss her so much. My mind is filled with memories of her today, I have so many happy ones. I talk to her every day, I have very private conversations with her that I don't share with anyone, just her and me. I know that she is listening to me in heaven. she was a wonderful Mother and my best friend. she was a very kind person, very funny and very sweet. I am glad that she is no longer suffering but I still wish that she was still with me, I just can't help but miss her so much. I love and miss you so very much Mom. Happy Birthday Mommy!!! (did you see your shadow today?)

Theresa, how is Beamer doing? Good I hope. I understand him not liking that Elizabethen colar. I've never seen a dog or cat that did like it. My Teeny, when she had to wear one, all she would do is stand still. If she needed to go outside, you had to carry her out and back in, if she needed to drink/eat, you had to carry her to the water/food bowl, she would not play or even sit down. Poor baby, it is like the colar paralized her. Thankfully she has had to have it once, and not for very long.

Danlin, I so hope that your feeling better today.I just said a prayer for you.

Hi Carol, I want to thank you for that detailed info that you sent to me. Very useful, and I am going to take advantage of it all.

Everybody, please say a prayer for my DH & myself. We found out this week that DH has been a victim of Identy theft!!

Also, I have a friend on another team who is having a lot of problems with pain & depression, her name is Nancy. She has no support from family or friends. I guess that SP is all that she has. If you all could say a prayer for her.....I'd sure apprecaite it.

How are you doing Starr? and how are you doping Teresa? Taking your meds daily? haven't heard from you? starting to worry about you. How is everyone else?

I am feeling worse today than I did yesterday, don't understand this, I had a flu shot, why do I feel so sick. I have a nasty cold but I am hurting all over my body, have such a bad headache and I just feel like crap. I feel like a truck ran over me. Hubby still doesn't feel 100% like himself yet either.

My hubby is home sick today, not feeling well at all. Really bad sore throat, very achy all over and a extreme stiff neck. he gave me quite the scare last evening. I wasn't sure if we were dealing with a case of meningitis or what. Everytime he moved his neck he yelled in pain. I was seriously thinking about going to the hospital but he didn't have a headache or a fever. Ended up tylenol and a heating pad gave him some relief but never made the pain go away. he was up pretty much all night. kept heating up the heating pad for him. Not sure what is going on but hope he feels better soon.

Here goes... my boyfriend and I suffer from mental illnesses (he's schitzo-affective and I'm bipolar and borderline personality). Anyhow, he'd been off his meds and went through a bought of psychosis a couple months ago. Threatening suicide, his mother and I called the police so that he could get taken to the hospital for evaluation. While he was in the observation room, he took off his gown and got arrested for public indecency. In the mean time, he'd been on post-release control from a crime he committed back in 2004, so just last week he was arrested again for having violated his parole, or whatever you wanna call it. He's really not a bad guy, just makes some really bad choices when his sickness goes full swing. In fact, he's the most loving and caring person I've ever known. He's back on his meds now, but he's still in jail. We have no idea how long he will be in there or when his hearing will be. I don't feel that he should even be in there, considering the circumstances, nor do I even understand why he got arrested the first time when he was in the hospital for mental issues. I just want him home where we can help him. He's not getting any help in jail. I hope you guys don't judge me or my situation. Mental illness can cause people to do things or behave in ways that most normally wouldn't at times.

Yes, Teresa- Please don't think we would ever judge you. Too much of that in this world. We are here for your support not your judges. I went thru some very nasty stuff with my ex - he was alcoholic and things he did caused us to lose everything. Do you know, I had people literally blame me because "You should have known he was alcoholic". The worst thing I could ever wish on someone is to go thru what I went thru, and I would never do that EXCEPT I did a few times on the people who were so judgemental. They needed a lesson in reality. Believe me, I for one learned you NEVER judge another. That old saying is soooo appropriate. Never judge another until you have walked a mile in his moccasins.

Thanks for the prayers Danlin. I've just said a prayer for your headaches as well.

I NEED to go to the chiropractor. I have been only twice since Christmas. And I can tell now, that the treatments were helping me at least somewhat. I was still having pain, but not as severe as what it has been these past 2 weeks. The past couple of days the pain in my head, neck & shoulders have been so bad that it has made me feel sick to my stomach & dizzy. It's too bad that it will take a week or two of me going to the chiropractor 2 or 3 times a week before I will get any relief. I've not been going as I should have been because of DH & DD being sick with pneumonia & bronchitis and having to do all the other things that have to be done everyday.

I've also just prayed for everyone to have a super blessed day today.

Please keep my friend Susan in your prayers. Her mom passed away Fri. and she has a hard next few weeks/months because her uncle has decided to sell the ranch (half his, half hers now), all the cattle, etc. He's old (she's no spring chicken either, in her 70's), the drought has killed them. But her words were, once that's all gone my life as I've always known it is gone. Hard on her to have it all happen at once.

Also, prayers for me too. Wednesday I got up and it looked like I had a stye in the corner of my left eye. Yesterday it was a bit swollen. This morning it is VERY swollen and blocking my view in that eye. If I can't get in to see my regular doctor today, I will go to urgent care.

Still need prayers for Tina, had surgery yesterday, they removed hernia and pulled her stomach back, they also took a biopsy of the mass which is on her colon, she won't get results until 3 days. If it is cancerous, they will remove the mass. If not they will leave it alone. Please pray. thank you.

Hello This is where we would want to post names of anyone that you would want the team to pray for. We will continue to pray for ones that have already been posted but feel free to post their names again if they still need the prayers

also feel free to add names daily as you feel necessary so that we can pray for them. We all know how powerful prayers can be.
