I am sorry to hear you have been ill. Hopefully you are getting over it and will be back to your old self soon. I hate being sick. I do not get sick very often (knock on wood), but when I do it usually kicks my butt.

I worked most of the day yesterday then hung out with some of my Jamberry friends. It was a good day. Today we are working on cars again, well hubby is while I am playing on spark people. We are having dinner at a friends house tonight.

Happy Friday everyone! If you are in Hurricane Irma, Jose or Katia's path stay safe!

And for those affected by Harvey I hope you guys are recovering quickly and getting the help you need.

I've been sick for over a week but I might (don't want to jinx it) might finally be getting better we'll see. It's thrown off my exercising but I've lost weight so there is that? Meh hopefully I get better soon, the weight stays off and I can get back into exercising. emoticon I got sick right around my deadlines for my personal plank and push up challenges and right after I started the walk/jog 5k challenge. TERRIBLE TIMING.

A bunch of teams in my office are moving desks because we have a new department moving into our area. I was the first person to move and I swear this desk feels smaller even though they are all supposed to be the same size (I am suspicious).

It went well. I then went to the gym after work too, and then the next day. I did not make it last night as my allergies are trying to kill me. I'm trying to work myself up into going 6 days a week, and make it a good habit. I need the movement, I feel better when I do it.

Oh great! How did it go?

Yesterday the husband and I went rock climbing. A private rock climbing gym had an open climb to raise money for renovations so we paid $25 each and went. I completed one climb, half of the second climb and barely anything of the other climb emoticon . My husband completed 5 out of 6 of the climbs he tried. He loved it, I'm happy to have try something I hadn't tried since I was maybe 13. There isn't any other place to climb except for a wall at another gym which I don't even think is being used. To be a member of the gym we went to is $100 a month so that's not happening anytime soon :P.

Oh nice I forgot you work on cars :D.

Whenever I have difficulties getting back into it I just try to do the minimum like say I don't want to get out of bed and I want to sleep more I start to do leg raises on my back and then I move on to my sides. And even just doing a few of those warms my body up and wakes me up more.

If already up and a wake just tell yourself to do 10 squats or 10 lunges or 10 arm circles or 10 hip extensions. And even if you don't do more than 10 reps of an exercise it's better than doing nothing :D.

I've been pretty lazy lately and I'm mad at myself for it. I only have myself to blame, no one else. I've felt so tired and just don't want to do anything...I know if I get moving it will help but my body is just like nope, let's sleep or plop on the couch after work.

I'm not on track right now and it makes me sad. I'm working on getting there again. We worked on the kiddo VW beetle this weekend, it needs new suspension. We got the passenger side front done. Hoping to get the other side tackled this coming weekend.

Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend?

Saturday I woke up early to get cleaning and packing done (my husband and I had been pet/house sitting for the last 3 weeks and Saturday was the last day).

Yesterday Morning my mom, friend and her coworker did a 4 mile walk.
It was a beautiful and peaceful route with lots of inclines but nothing difficult.

Went home and watched some tv and had breakfast and then did some much needed cleaning in the kitchen and sorted the recycling.

And at 4pm my husband and same friend went to go see The Dark Tower, it was good I definitely recommend it and we dropped of the recycling. Then we picked up my husband's friend so the two of them could work on some filming.

Oh yesterday we also finally put up the second bookshelf :D.

I recommend looking up musicals in advance because the have times and dates posted early and the really popular ones sell out quick. Since you guys are only there for 4 days I say pick out what you really want to do so you don't miss out. I am guessing you guys will be checking out the area around where the campus is if you stepdaughter is staying on campus?

I have a good amount of vacation but funds have been tight so we keep putting travel off.

I love traveling, but sadly don't get to do it as much as I would like to. No we have never been to NYC, so it will be a first time trip. We unfortunately won't be able to stay too long, since I do not have much vacation left, it will be like a 4 day weekend at most.
I'd love to see a musical, it just depends on if time will allow.

Oh nice are you guys going to tour the campus? I love visiting NYC, I couldn't see myself living there but visiting is always a good time. I recommend all the touristy stuff if you guys have never been there - Statue of Liberty (book in advance if you want to go up to the crown), Empire State Building, Central Park, Museum of Natural History, a Broadway Musical (we saw the Lion King and it was awesome!). The most expensive ones are the musical and the Empire State Building and if I had to choose between the two I'd go with the musical (it was amazing!). I really want to go back and see Anastasia the musical, I love that movie.

This will be my first trip of the year so I am definitely looking forward to it. We've booked tickets now so we are definitely going lol. We are heading to Tampa and Orlando and want to go to Universal Studios/Island of Adventure (Harry Potter world!!) and Epcot.

oooh a trip sounds like a lot of fun. I need to think about planning our trip to NYC and Cambridge, MA. Kiddo started her senior year of high school today and applies to college in October, her top two school choices are in those areas so we wanted to take her to visit them so she has a better idea of which one she likes the most if she gets into both of them.

I have a trip coming up in October-November (well hopefully it's coming up nothing is booked yet) and I am going to do clothes shopping so I want to lose weight before then. I don't want to think too far ahead though otherwise I'll feel overwhelmed so current goal is:

Just lose 10 pounds I can do 10 pounds.

Action Steps to achieve goal

- Track food everyday
- Plan out breakfast, snacks and dinner.
- Check in on Spark at least 3 times a week.

Happy Friday! Sorry I've been MIA been busy and I honestly hate the new layout for the start page I can't see most recently updated threads in my teams.

Any plans for the weekend? I'm at different library tomorrow as the person who is usually over there is off on vacation, which reminds me I need a key eep.

Heard some stories about two patrons at this library so I'm a bit nervous but it's just 4 hours so hopefully things are uneventful.

Happy Monday Everyone :) I hope the weekend went well.

Mines was a bit productive.

I finally cleaned out the fridge last night and cleaned up the kitchen a bit. My husband cleaned the floors and I am so happy because the dog sheds like crazy.

I also cleaned the floor at my husband's shop and it definitely needed it while he and my father in law worked on building a model home for an upcoming expo we have a booth at.

I'm trying out tea tree oil for my scalp. I added it to a bottle of coconut oil and I've also added it to my shampoo to see it will help with my itchy scalp cross fingers because nothing else seems to help for more than a few minutes.

I'm getting there. Every day I feel a little better. Got to love antibiotic shots and steroid shots, they help you get over it much quicker. I just got sick Monday and I'm feeling better already. Now if my medicated brain would stop making mistakes at work this week, that would be great!

Thanks. I have been sick with a sinus infection the last few days. I am on antibiotics, so hopefully it clears up soon. I am a little better today, but still cannot breathe through my nose and I cannot taste anything I eat.

The week has been going pretty good. Has been busy at work, probably because we had a holiday Monday so it's a 4 day week (or well 5 day for me since I work on Saturdays too :p but that's a different job). Went to a business after hours last night where there were free finger foods and drinks so I went over my calorie range yesterday emoticon we are home tonight though and making steak salad so today's eats will be better.

Tomorrow morning I'll be doing a 5K :).

yes, that makes sense. I am drinking more water, this is good. Not to the amount the app says I should, but a lot better than I was. Some reason drinking more water is causing me to have terrible leg cramps at night though.

I've made flossing a habit for me. I do it daily. What I am working on is trying to eat smaller portions and drinking my water. I downloaded the water reminder app from spark so that it reminds me every couple hours to drink so much water. We will see if it helps me or not. I get busy at work or during the day and just don't think about my water drinking.

We are doing more organizing and cleaning today, trying to finish up what we started during time off before New Years.

Oh dear that does not sound pleasant. I went to the dental hygienist yesterday for a cleaning and as she reminds me I need to floss floss floss. So I did floss last night before going to bed which took a while and is why I don't do it but I do want to take better care of my teeth so I will TRY to floss more.

As per my hygienist's recommendation I packed a few floss picks (the ones shaped like Y) in my bag and I will put some in the guest bathroom and maybe by my night stand so I see them and get that reminder.

Oh I am also trying out a new app called HabitBull. It's supposed to help you build new habits and stop bad habits. So far I just have a set up for drinking 4 cups of water and doing stretches. Today is day 3 for both of those habits. I'm going to add Flossing once a day.

hahaha that's great.

We officially adopted the dog Saturday. He's OURS now. His name is Yogurt. He's got some skin issues on top of digestion issues so he's taking a lot of pills at the moment and it's always a chore when my husband has to give them to him. Even trying to hide them in food is hard. The easiest part surprisingly is giving him a bath. We need to bathe him every other day with medicated shampoo and he just stands there while we bathe him and towel him off.

My goals are:
Be 138.6 - 141 pounds by September 1 2017
Do 50 knee-push ups by September 1 2017 (40/50)
Do a 2 minute plank by September 1 2017 (1:45/2 mins)
Complete a pull-up by November 1 2017

LOL. My mums cat, the one that is staying with friends in AZ after she died, he is like that. He won't eat for days unless you buy him the wet gravy food or put some gravy over the dry food. I guess some animals are just picky. My cats are not, they eat whatever, they are little fat monsters. lol

Ah yes good plan and speaking of rates I just read that rates actually are going to go up and apparently they are going to go up 3 times next year?! Ugh.

The dog is a picky eater I don't know how a dog his size can be picky but he is, we had to put a little gravy on his food because he wasn't eating it. The cat went nuts and tried to steal his so then we had to put gravy on her food and I can't deal with these two lol.

I probably won't get another pooch until I own a home again. We only rent our house right now. We've been trying to save and pay down debt so that we can buy in another year or so. The rates will probably go up by then, but we just don't have enough of a down payment yet.
