Yeah that was my mistake not taking a day between work and vacation, but I try not to waste the few vacation days I get, if that makes any sense.

I have not seen the Independence movie, not sure how I feel about a remake. I like the first one and am afraid this one will ruin it for me. I'm skeptical like that. I am going to a 4th of July fireworks thing at Lone Star Park, my coworker invited my hubby, daughter and I and even bought us tickets!

Anyone else have something fun planned for the 3 day weekend?

CHRIMSONFYRE - Wow, I would be of no use at work after that, I prefer to take a day off between vacation and getting back to work just to rest.

When searching for motivation ask yourself - why did you start, why is this your goal, how will you feel after a workout. Set your appointment and don't break it! Give yourself a little reward for going :)

ALMISSE - I hear ya on the vacation! I'm not going anywhere until August so all I have to look forward to right now are weekends (and I work on Saturdays).

I've only seen the movie Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy which was quite odd. Currently reading The Night Circus (like The Tomb the writing style takes some concentration, I'm not sure I'll finish it) and Working Stiff which is much more fun.

Independence Day was pretty good, not as good as the first I think but the special effects where awesome. I don't think Hemsworth's character should have been the main character, I think the president's daughter and will smith's son's character would have been better. They both get decent screen time but you can tell Hemsworth's character is one of the mains. I loved seeing faces from the first movie and I am happy they didn't kill all of them off.

Call me Sandy. My goals are performing 50 regular push-ups in 1 minute, doing a 5 minute plank, being able to do a pull-up, run for 2 miles and and reaching 130 pounds.

I have a habit of getting into more than one book at once, but usually because there's one at one place I'm at, and one at the other. Right now it's the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, and The Tomb and other Tales by Lovecraft. While the second is small enough to cart around, the style of writing takes a little more concentration than I can mange to give it in all surroundings, lol.

Definitely not reading at the pace you guys are at. Lol. I did get through book one of HGG, and am close to the end of book two, but I've been distracted lately.

I want a vacation so bad, and we may actually have one this weekend. Jay's still not sure what he wants to do, or if he wants to spend the money on it, but we kinda both just want to get away for awhile. Preferably on a beach, in the sun. :)

Sounds like fun Sparrow, how was the movie? I'm a bit skeptical, but also appreciate that they didn't try to do a sequel based right after the first because of the time gap. The effects looked good too. Not sold on the Hemsworth kid's acting, though I haven't seen him in enough to give fair judgement.

Weekend was fun, but man I'm feeling it going back to work so quickly. I worked yesterday and today after we didn't get home until after 7PM Sunday night after driving 6.5 hours. I'm crazy, but I like to keep my vacation as much as I can lol.

I need motivation to get my butt in the gym, I'm slacking sooooo bad.

You're doing a lot better than me on the reading! I used to read a lot but now everything else seems to take priority but I am trying to read at least 2 books a month. I usually get some reading in before work and during lunch time.

I saw your status update on your trip! Sounded like you had a good time :).

How was everyone else's weekend? Husband and I went by the in-laws and chilled in the pool and had pizza before that in the morning I went on a 5k walk with my mum and mum-in-law and on Sunday we had crepes for breakfast and went to see Independence Day: Resurgence in the afternoon.

This evening I am going walking and then later on boxing fitness class.

We are about 2 hours away from Eureka Springs, AR. Hubby is driving. It's our big car show weekend. I will probably be bad and not eat much this weekend because I will be super busy helping run the show.
I don't play video games as much as I used ro. I'm definitely a reader also. I on average read 2 books a week. I'll read almost anything.

Haha no I don't play any video games. I used to when I was a teen but I honestly do not have time now. My husband is more into video games and I am more into reading :). I still love the classic Nintendo games though :D.

How was everyone's weekend? I am so tired, did not sleep well last night. Husband and I are back in the bedroom after a couple of month's on the sofa (bedroom AC was not working) but our mattress sucks so we might end up back on the sofa before long since we're both having back and shoulder issues. Next big thing to save up for - bed/mattress but in the mean time we're going to get a mattress topper.

I've not been doing good food wise lately either or really fitness wise so I am going to try and get back to it today. Doesn't help that I want to fall asleep at my computer though.

Mine's LunaXJJ, so you know who's adding you. I don't have Live at the moment, I usually don't bother putting money into it over summer because I tend to have less time to play. I'm most active in the winter months, so it makes more sense than paying for the whole year. Heck, I'll probably be playing even less as I want to play God of War 3, so I gotta use my boyfriend's ps3 for it.

I hear you on the eating out thing. Jay works long hours so it's easier for us to just order some food from the local pizza place, and if we get chicken salads I have to call to tell them how to make them right, but I don't like phone calls so it's easier to tell him to just order a pizza.

I was going to ask the same thing about being on Xbox live. I have a 360 and a one and I've been on Xbox live since I was a beta tester 12 or something years ago. If you guys play, you can add me, I haven't been on much lately, I kind of play in spurts. My gamer tag is Hot Gamer Chick lol.

I'm trying to get back.on track again, I've really fallen off the health wagon again. Eating out is just too easy. I'm still trying to get this meal prep thing down.

Last week I had a large training class to teach. This week I had a training class. I then spent the weekend at my brothers place trying to help out.
I have been too exhausted to get on. But I am trying.

YAY to you doing the sea swim, silversparrow. Fitness boxing sounds fun. Closest I will probably ever get to that is Gold's Gym Cardio workout for the Wii. Its Fitness Boxing using the Wii lol.

YAY to the drivers license.

I used to want to learn to sew, but as with a lot of things I want to learn, I never really got around to it. Lol.

I told my boyfriend if we ever go to a costume party, or if I could get him to cosplay at a con with me he should be Capt America, and I can be the Winter Soldier. Chrimson you've probably seen my profile pic on FB, it makes sense right? lol. He gets tights, I get color contacts, and a cool metal arm. I'd have to really start picking up on sewing though.

Congrats on your daughter's learner driver's license!

Silver, you have a blog called Achievement Unlocked? Do you play 360/One? :D

Well I think it's cool that she is learning to sew :).

I've been slacking since Saturday. My husband and I did the sea swim! Pictures and more details in my blog post (it's called Achievement Unlocked). But tonight I will be going with my mum-in-law to try out a fitness boxing class.

She is learning to sew, she made a couple of costumes, she has a ways to go though. I think it is cool she is learning to make her own though. The two she wore at a-kon were bought though.

The weekend is finally here. Sorry I was more quiet this week, work had me crazy busy! Today my husband has an eye appointment at 11, I'd also like to get our xB aligned and oil changed before our road trip in a little less than 2 weeks.

I've been kind of lazy this week, I really need to get up off my butt and move

That sounds like the best 16th birthday celebration! If I could sew I would be cosplayng everywhere but I don't have the patience now if only I had the fund to buy costumes.

@KATRICK - It's great that you can take care of the niece on the weekends, that must be a big help to everyone.

Today is wine and wing day. Wine tasting followed by 50 cent wings. My swim is this Saturday ahhhh.

Sad to hear about the flooding and septic tanks :(
Skylar, our daughter is officially 16 today. Yes she is big into cosplay. She dressed this weekend as Maki from Love Live and a character from Fairytale. She had a blast. We had a hotel room there at the anitole for the weekend, so there was 24 hour fun for her to have.

I ended up not helping with the cleaning of my brothers house, instead I had my niece spend the night with me saturday. This helped my sis in law because sunday my sis in law transported her 2 large dogs, and cat to my mother's (1.5 hour car ride).

I am planning on having niece from Friday through Sunday this upcoming weekend to help out again.

@CHRIMSONFYRE- Happy Birthday to your kid!

@KATRICK528 - Sorry about the flooding. That must seriously suck.

@ALMISSE - Good call on giving your body a break.

There was a tropical depression passing neary by over the weekend so there was lots of rain and cloudiness. I lost all motivation to anything. I'm surprised I did any laundry at all.

Today is sunnier and today I am determined to clean the kitchen.

Happy birthday to your kid, and yay for anime convention. Is said kid cosplaying?

Boo to the rain you're getting there though, and the septic tank thing really sucks. :(

So I wasn't going to deload yet, but I kind of have to. A deload being a period of time, usually a week, where you take a break from strength training, or lighten the amount a lot so it's still a break. Typically it's a break for your central nervous system, and some extended recovery time for muscle. I typically only do it when I feel like my motivation is lacking too badly for too long. Being that I started a new routine recently I was far from lacking motivation... but my shoulder is being a fart. :/ I was having trouble with pressing movements (push ups, chest press), but yesterday I was having trouble with rows. So I'm giving it a week off in hopes it just needs a break.

Happy birthday to your kiddo.

I have family that had their house flooded this week because of the rain. The rain also flooded the septic tanks that are underground near their house. So yea... I will be helping them out this weekend.

What a gloomy day in Dallas/Fort Worth. It rained all day out at my work (Sundance Square). It rained pretty hard all the way home until I hit I-30 and 360, then it suddenly stopped and traffic was normal. I guess there was a rain cloud over Tarrant County.

I have another 3-day weekend. I am off tomorrow. We are going to a-kon (anime convention) at the Hilton Anitole downtown. It's a celebrate the kiddo 16th birthday weekend.

Fyre - The car club sounds pretty sweet. I enjoy taking things apparent, and putting them back together... but no one trusts me to do that with their car so I gotta get my own, lol.

Kat - We're not getting enough rain so if you want to send me some, I'll take it. It's "supposed" to rain this weekend, but we only got rain for a little bit one day out of the few days they said we'd get it last time. It tends to break up and go around us.

The rain is not helping with walking.
It started raining before leaving work. I drove to work yesterday.

When it seemed like the rain stopped, I got my shoes on, and got my dog... when we got out side it was still raining just quietly. So no afternoon walk for me yesterday. I am told today and tomorrow there are storms expected in the afternoon as well.
I walked to work today, and I have an umbrella I keep at work, another umbrella in my bag, and a poncho in my bag. Hopefully the rain will still be fine to walk in, but if its a really really bad thunderstorm I might have to get a ride home (which would defeat purpose of walking).

The car thing is a hobby I've had for years. We don't do it for money, just help each other out when needed. We have fun. For work I'm a software developer and my husband is a network/system engineer. Computer nerds and car nerds :)

I need to get back on track with my walking. I've been slacking a bit.

@CHRIMSONFYRE - Car club sounds cool. You guys just do it as a hobby or do you get paid to work on cars? My husband says his dream is to flip cars.

@KATRICK - No worries dear you take care of you first and when you have more time then you can do more :)

@ALMISSE - Habit building is always the goal. Keep up the good work!

Today will be a busy day, it's install/BBQ for car club at my house today. We will be working on multiple cars, but the main one, we are yanking the engine out today. There will be around 15 people here today to work on cars/hang out.

Yesterday was busy afternoon, small pre-birthday party for the kiddo, with friends who could not go to her big bash all weekend at a-kon next weekend. A couple stayed the night, they were up late and loud and up before 7 am and loud again. Only teenagers I've met that are up before 7 and that loud. Normally I have to kick my daughter out of bed at 10! lol

@Sparrow - Thanks, it's a super slow process, but the results are worth it, and by now it's just a habit.
Yay for free photography! It's great you'll have even more photos, you can never go wrong with having more. :D

@Fyre - Thanks. Still working on "toned" before I can get to anything resembling "buff" lol, but it's coming along. Just switched routines, and I'm so sore. T_T

@Kat - Way to keep on it. Even if it's hard to find time for social media stuff, it's good that you're still focused on the important stuff first.

Sounds like you are getting buff! Keep up the strength training.

Swimming is great exercise, I should do it but find excused not to wear a swimsuit. That's cool they are going to do free pictures, also congrats on being a neway wed.

@CHRIMSONFYRE - So sorry about you mom emoticon . It's great that you are doing this walk in honour of her. I wish you all the best 60 miles is a task even if it is spread over 3 days.

@ALMISSE - Thank-you for the welcome and welcome back :D. Great job on the weight loss and on the muscle building!

Went swimming yesterday afternoon at the beach. Did half a mile in 31:37 minutes :D.

Also got an email back from a photographer. My husband and I got married in March and the photographer is an aquaintance of his family's. Well we never ended up booking her for the wedding because the person we were dealing with didn't give us a price we could afford but when the photographer found out the theme of the wedding afterwards she was sad she missed out on it and still wants to take pictures so hubby and I have a photo shoot with her July 10th. The photo shoot itself is free otherwise I'd be perfectly happy with the wedding photos we already have (they are very pretty).

So I have another tangible goal to keep me motivated. Sea swim is almost here and then after that this photo shoot. emoticon

Call me Sandy. My goals are performing 50 regular push-ups in 1 minute, doing a 5 minute plank, being able to do a pull-up, run for 2 miles and and reaching 130 pounds.

Sorry, I haven't been around, no excuse just forgetful.

Hello new members! Great to see more activity on here again. :)
Update:
I reached my goal cut weight, and so it's back into building muscle again. This time I'm working with a friend to make sure I'm not gaining quite as much fat alongside it this time. After taking so long to cut down after the last one, I was getting so frustrated.

Made some progress though. My waist measurement is smaller than it was when I was 132lbs (140lbs now), and I'm seeing more shape to my arms and quads. Gotta get the rest in line this time around. Particularly my backside lol. Plus I have a big lap in strength with my left arm, and I want to even that out.

Sorry again for the absence, I'll try to be less forgetful!

I've been to Nassau also, very beautiful. I have also been to Roatan, Honduras. There are so many islands in the Caribbean, it's hard to choose.

The 3-day is a 60 mile walk over 3 days. The first day we walk around 22 miles, the second day around 20 and the last day is 16 or so. The rest of the steps you get walking around camp and everything. It's hard on the body, but it's very rewarding. I walk in honor of my mom who died in October.

Oh nice. I've been Nassau before. Very pretty water and there are so much islands in the Bahamas you won't be short on beaches.

For the 3 day walk, is it different lengths every time?

Ok good better safe then sorry.

What are the ideas you have so far for the anniversary? Going to one place or taking a cruise?

And how was the weekend everyone?
I took a free circuit training class Saturday morning before work with my mum-in-law and I am still store from it. I found a waterproof watch with a timer and stopwatch.
Sunday morning I did a 5K walk for charity with my mom and mum-in-law. We wore tiaras and dressed in pink for the event. Then a bunch of us had breakfast and then saw x-men in the afternoon.

Yes, I love travelling to the Caribbean for beaches and warm weather. We are trying to plan something for our 5 year anniversary next year.

I'm doing a spine check up just in case since I had spine surgery only a year ago.

Oh wow is everyone all right? Make sure to pay attention to any back or neck pain that may develop in the next couple of days and if it does get it checked out if you can. Car accidents can be so scary, I had a little fender bender back in December and it shook me up just because it was such a surprise.

My week has been ok so far. Nothing special just trying to get work done. On the radio this morning they said the a local ice bar called Minus 5 is closing. Not surprised, it didn't really make sense to me when it did open here. I live in the Caribbean and most people here hate the cold and if you're a tourist your usually coming here to escape the cold and enjoy some sun.

My weekend was pretty good. I did a lot around the house. Today however hasn't been so great. Rode with coworkers to go to lunch, never made it. A Lexus slammed into us on the freeway and I'm pretty sure the poor little Honda fit is totalled. :(

I'm horrible on the weekends too! The work week definitely keeps me on schedule.
I love swimming and you're right it's a full body workout.

How was everyone's weekend? Yesterday was a holiday so my weekend was slightly longer. I did overeat two days in a row but I had so much fun. We had a bbq at our house on Sunday with family and friends and we sang karaoke and my husband and his coworkers sat around the fire outside playing on the guitar, singing songs and drinking :P while the rest of us were inside singing 80s, 90s and some current hits along with a few Spanish songs from my mom.

Yesterday I went in the pool and just floated around, the water was so warm.

I am horrible about water during the weekends.
During the work week, I have a water bottle that sits on my desk and it holds 4 cups.
When I eat out with coworkers, I make sure I have 1 full bottle at work plus water during lunch wherever we go.

When I stay in the office, my goal is to finish off my water bottle twice before going home.
I know you can buy (or make your own) water bottles that have times marked on them. So you have a reminder to have finished that much water by a certain time during the day.

Great job on swimming, it is a great full body workout, really great for your heart!

I'm currently sitting in my quiet living room, up early as usual and listening the rain outside. It's been pouring since 4 am

Hi! For the water drinking have you tried using an app? I have one called Aqualert on my phone and you enter your weight, activity level and it gives you a goal (which you can change) and then once that's set it sends you notifications throughout the day to drink water and you can actually choose the amount you drank so it's not a standard 8 oz for each drink. Mines goal is set 53oz which was based off my current weight, my activity level (sedentary) and I ticked that it's hot where I am. I have a squeezable 24oz water bottle on my desk and on top of that I have my tea.

Went swimming yesterday and now both my arms hurt, was thinking of swimming this afternoon but am thinking I should give my arms a rest.

Call me Sandy. My goals are performing 50 regular push-ups in 1 minute, doing a 5 minute plank, being able to do a pull-up, run for 2 miles and and reaching 130 pounds.

Yes, my PT doctor has given me things to do at home to help. I'm only doing 4 sessions with the office because he knows I do pretty well on my own. I'm there mostly for the adjustments and help with the tension in my neck and shoulders. I use the tens unit (I think that is what it's called) to help loosen up muscles.

My insurance only covers visits once I meet my deductible, so regardless what they help me with I still pay the $268 for the visit. It's ok, I just hate to put money on a credit card because it's not payday yet lol.

I am lacking in water, I really try, I have an awesome water bottle on my desk and everything, but I get busy and just don't think about it. I try to stick to water only all day except for my one cup of coffee in the morning. I'm not big on soda or fruit drinks or anything like that. Occasionally I have a glass of milk in the morning.

Can they give you an at-home program so you can space out your visits more? I have tight hips, which causes lower back pain. My doc knows that if she gives me routine PT I won't be able to make it most of the time, so she gave me a worksheet of stretches to add into what I already do complete with illustrations and instructions. Since you'd be at the PT they could demonstrate everything too which is a big step above just pictures, and words, lol.

It'd be nice if they'd at least work with you that way until your insurance covers things.

Glad to hear the blood work is mostly good. The cholesterol may be a bit high, but it could be worse, and at least it can be reversed before it gets to worse. How much water do you drink? Anything mostly water (tea, coffee that isn't mostly milk and sugar lol, stuff like that) adds into water intake too. As do fruits and veggies, as many have a high water content. Just stuff that helps when you can't be bothered with 64oz of straight water, and peeing all day. I tend to drink a lot anyway, but sometimes I get the flavored, sparkling 0 calorie kinds to switch it up. I get tired of them after awhile, but once in awhile it's a nice change. Plus before it was a habit it was a good way to get me to drink more water (and ween off soda).

Good news most of my blood work came back really good!
Bad news, the cholesterol is slightly elevated at 227. My HDL (good) is above 60 like it should be, but my LDL (bad) is a little high. The triglycerides were normal though.
My sodium levels are a little high as well, they said probably I am still not drinking enough water and could be the reason my blood pressure has been slightly elevated.

Yes I've been doing physical therapy for the neck and back, it's helping a lot, just hurting my checkbook lol. I have to meet my deductible on the insurance before it covers anything, so my visits are out of pocket until then.

Yeah I thought about that too, but thought if I got in the habit of chatting on FB I'd end up posting here less. Though if it's a long time like that again I may just send a little hello then move the conversation back here when I'm around more again. You can message me anytime too. :)

I hope the blood work comes back ok, or at least comes back with something helpful so you can get some answers for the issues you're having. Hope you were able to get some help with the neck and back pain as well.

I've been trying to make a habit of sleeping on my left side, or back now, and stretching out my right shoulder because it's really tight and sometimes hurts. It's easier than I thought it'd be, but I still wake up more often to move again.

Totally understand. If you ever want to talk on fb, you can message me there too.
Glad things are working for you, even if some lack of sleep is involved. I got blood work done this morning and talked to my doctor about some issues I'm having. I see my physical therapis for the neck and back pain tonight. Getting the pain under control will definitely help me sleep better.

If I don't talk to you before then, hope you have a great rest of the week.

I sleep better when I exercise, but only if it's a few hours or so after. As soon as the workout is done I'm still riding the adrenaline for awhile. After that runs down I'm ready for a nap. lol

Today and yesterday I've been fortunate in that I've been getting poor sleep, but still have a lot of energy. I just came off a deload week, which tends to hep my motivation, but it doesn't work miracles for my energy levels like this, lol. I feel it later in the day though, but it's like I feel tired, but not at the same time.

Whatever it is it's working so I guess I can't complain. Beats dragging my arse all day.

Edit to Add: I might not be on much for the rest of the week, Jay may not have work, and I tend not to use the laptop there much. Just wanted t apologize in advance, just in case.

I actually sleep better when I do exercise. I just have been to sleepy and not wanting to though. It's been raining all day so far today. I need to clean but I'm being lazy.
Glad you had a good visit with your brothers and things are working out.

Sorry to take forever to update but Jay took Sunday of work so we could go spend time with my brothers. To save time, the 18 year old is Chris, the 12 year old is Anthony. We took them to lunch, then Anthony wanted to go to the park, but Chris got his permit and wanted to drive (he'd practiced before and after getting it, but the more the better). So we let him drive around for a bit, first less traffic heavy roads, because we didn't know how much he improved since last time, then all over. He's gotten good, just needs to polish a couple things, and remember that both hands have to be on/near the wheel during the actual test. Way ahead of me, lol. Then we shot some hoops at the park, played on the swings, Anthony was finally happy as he was so bored just driving around. Got to talk to them both about everything that happened, and everything seems to be going in the right direction for now. It's a lot of tension out of my head.

Though Jay has work all weekend this weekend, and it's going to be rough. Four hours round trip. Plus work hours which will probably be about ten. Not sure if he wants to get a hotel, have me tag along if I want (yeah I want, big hotel bed, can't pass that up), or if I'll just eat dinner at home so he can eat quick easy stuff after work, or something else. Suppose he doesn't have much time to figure it out since he starts tomorrow.

Do you do anything active before bedtime? If I workout, or do anything to get my heart rate up later in the afternoon/evening it can make it hard to sleep. I heard melotonin helps as a natural sleep aid, but I probably said that. I was fighting feeling tired a lot lately, but it turned out to be a combo of PMS symptoms and using more of my anxiety meds the past couple weeks so I can get consistent, and comfortable with driving. Though I'm pretty sure that's not your problem, lol.

It's great you're doing your fundraising again, best of luck!

You can vent any time you feel the need to, I do not mind at all. We all have our days and our bouts of anger. I tend to be that bottle it up kind of girl that one day explodes out of no where and everyone is shocked because I'm always the calm one, or the level headed one and I've thrown everyone off balance.
Today I'm fighting feeling really tired and a headache, I guess I didn't sleep as well as I thought I had. I need to call and make an appointment today for my annual physical and such with my doctor, I can ask about something to help me sleep or suggestions to help me sleep too.

I've started fundraising again, trying to raise the first $500 for my breast cancer walk by May 2nd, if I do, the foundation will donate back to me $150 as well getting me a little closer to my goal. I'm going to try hitting up some coworkers and email some friends, so wish me luck.

Glad you had a good time. :)

I was hoping to have some time with my brothers today, the ones caught up in the aforementioned family drama, but Jay's got work all weekend, because his brother can't plan for chit. He doesn't check the weather so wasted all Monday because the lumber place couldn't deliver materials (because of the crappy weather we got), then he wasted half of Tuesday because it was drizzling all day, but for some reason that was only a problem in the middle of the day. He's so worried about getting these jobs done because instead of planning around his vacation like everyone else he takes on whatever and crosses his fingers basically. So yeah, blaming him for this crap.

Jay did try to say we could visit tonight, but he'll have work tomorrow so between dinner, and the hour drive (total) there and back, that basically leaves us with no time. Plus I want to avoid certain people involved in the crap because I'm not ready to forgive their parts in it. So this leaves me no time to tell my mom to have an excuse to have the house clear. This would be fine if it was the middle of the day, but the 18 year old has an 8pm curfew so if it's that late, it's not like we can just take them out of the house for awhile. Which I would have preferred anyway, because I need to avoid fighting with my mom too. Plus I told my cousin we'd see her new kitty next time we stopped over there when we stop in we get stuck there for a bit, but I figured that time wouldn't be when we're crunched for time. -_-

So yeah, my weekend blows, lol. Like, if we show up, and all of those people are there, I really don't know how to react. Not to mention being bored, having migraines, and being tired.

Sorry to complain so much. Wish I had some more pleasant news to share. It'll blow over as it usually does... just when I feel less ticked. I when from 10oz of rage in an 8oz cup to just a full cup of anger so I guess that's a sign of improvement. I need to work on stress reduction, because I realize I'm angry a lot more than I usually realize (usually it comes and goes so quickly I don't notice how mad I am). They say anger is the result of unrealized expectations, and I have low expectations already, lol.

Mom came a picked them up about 8 PM last night. It was suddenly so quiet in the house it was kind of strange. They really had fun at the park, and I think they had fun in general, hard to tell though, for all I know they hated it.

I'm working on strength training again. This week I didn't get to go to the gym because of all the kids, but I plan to start again in the morning :)

Not as fantastic as I'd like, but working on it so that's what counts. Building muscle, and changing your body composition just isn't as easy as those "30 day to beach body" challenges make it seem, lol. I'm good with it though, I'm not where I want to be, but I'm not down about where I am now either. Why be down I'm doing what I need to to get where I want to be? :)

No kidding. I don't have any, but just spending time with and/or watching other peoples' kids can make me tuckered out. lol. Hope you're able to enjoy the park again. Wish I could say it's nice here, but it's just rainy, and crappy lol.

I'm sure you look fantastic!
I need to lose like 15" on my waist lol. Yeah having the kids is fun, but exhausting at the same time. Woooo, dunno how single mom does it. She is super woman for sure.

It's supposed to be another beautiful day here, I might take all the kids to the park again. They really enjoyed it yesterday.

Best of luck with all the kiddies.

I know what you mean wanting something all your own. It's nice having a home too, it just feels like stability. :)

So my waist measurement is back to what it was before I put weight on, but I'm ~7-8lbs heavier than I was at that time, so I must have built up some degree of muscle. About 5lbs to lose by June, so I've got plenty of time. Though I'd like to get it over with sooner so I can build back up to maintenance calories slower as opposed from going straight into it. Gotta take it easy on the cheat meals... well, the cheat drinks are the problem. lol

Yeah I know anything I buy could have issues...even if I built it brand new. No one is perfect, and humans build them :)

We just want something to call our own, instead of renting. Tired of not being able to do things because the house is not ours.

I hope you had a good weekend. It's supposed to be a pretty day in Dallas today.

It's not that I'd mind talking to you about it, it's just so much to it to explain, and it's just gotten to the point where I'm mad at everyone BUT him, and that level of frustration gets exhausting. My mom's a hypocrite, no one listens to me when I have solutions to problems, and people who aren't his parents need to mind their own business, with the exception of the only one who relates to him, and has never had the slightest altercation with him: me, and by extension Jay.
He's an easy kid (18, but still basically a kid) to understand, but no one seems to get it because they're too wrapped in themselves.

So yeah, short version of my stress, lol. My dad's not his dad, and even he's p**sed in the same way I am.

Glad things are all caught up with work, and it's great you're looking into sorting your finances. Hoping you can find a steady plan for achieving being debt free, and having a house. Careful with some of them though, even newer ones can have problems.

I understand if you do not want to go into specifics, that's totally cool. I know all about things with brothers...let me tell you!

I'm bored at work right trying to find things to do, I'm all caught up on my work again. I've been looking into finances and budgeting and investing, etc. I'm hoping for a total debt gone including my evil student loans in a couple years...not counting a house we may buy next year.

Sorry, generally online a lot less when at Jay's, so everything tends to get neglected.

So my Easter was good, hope yours was too. Me and Jay helped hide eggs for his niece, and nephews. A LOT of eggs, lol. It was nice spending time with them, and I think his niece just likes having a girl around when she's there to visit. She was on my team shooting hoops with a plush soccer ball, so of course we one. :)

Then family stuff happened I found out about the next day. It's hard to explain without a lot of backstory, but basically hoping for the best, and trying to keep my head in my routines. It's out of my control at the moment, and it's about my younger brother, not me, so I don't want to make it out to be my problem when it's him who needs help.

It's pretty interesting. I'd love to get a few days where I can go to sleep without any possible interruptions just to see how much sleep my body actually needs. Doesn't help for times you can't get that amount, but knowing means you can time when to go to bed to get in the right about before you have to be up. I'd have to make sure to remember not to go back to bed if I do that though, lol. Sometimes I'll go back to sleep even if I'm not all that tired just because I can.

Hope you had a good weekend.

Done, and done. :) At least I can remember to check FB, lol. Just been preoccupied with working on my goals I guess. It's getting closer to summer, so I need to cut back down enough to fit in my warm weather clothes again. Plus I want to get done with dieting down by June 1st, which should be more than enough time, but I do love my cheat meals. I finally have almost a full weight set, just need 25lb plates, so I really want to make the most of the next time I build.

I figure if I start in June I have an extra two months to really put in a long one, the recommended time is at least 6 months, and I keep stopping short at 5. This way I should be able to get 7 months no problem. It's a little frustrating though, I want to already be at that point of building again, so I get really annoyed with the cutting process. Then I'll have a few drinks, or some pizza, and that slows it down more, and you'd think I'd just put it off long enough to hit my goal, but I never learn. lol

I'm so sorry I haven't been around! I'm not going to make excuses, I simply forgot. You popped in my head last night, and I felt horrible because I knew there wasn't that many active members left. It's hard to remember to go on a site when you're only using one feature of it anymore. lol

Do you have a FB account? If you don't feel comfortable adding me, I get it. It'd just be a good reminder to remember to pop in here more, and generally keep in touch.

Either way, I hope you're doing ok, and again I'm really sorry.

I am glad that the doctor is getting your meds fixed so you feel better My husband has anxiety really bad and when the meds are not right he is really hard to deal with. I feel bad because I do not really know anxiety like he does, so it's hard to relate to, but I do know it is really hard on him and makes life hard also.

Sounds like a fun weekend...having a free weekend. I've been chilling this weekend for the most part. Got some things taken care of yesterday. I will start some laundry here shortly. In the meantime I'm catching up on email and watching fast and furious...the first original one.

I wish I could take the drivers test on a course. It's hard enough driving while knowing you're being evaluated without being on the actual roads. At least if I get so anxious I bump something, it'd be a traffic cone.

Turns out my medication levels were pretty darn low. My psych called me at 6:30 the other day, which is two hours after they close, just to get me situated with a new dosage. Picked it up yesterday, and hopefully I'll be feeling better again within a week or so. :) I'm so grateful, I did not like the reminder of what it was like without the right meds. So much anxiety over every little thing, ugh no thanks.

We were in VT over the weekend, and despite trying to cut down, I had a whole cheat weekend. No regrets, lol. Seemed like every restaurant had calorie counts on their menus. Some people say it won't make a difference, people will eat whatever anyway, and while that may be true in some cases, it does make you think twice. I knew I was having a free weekend, but was still ordering the less high choices (so much was over 1000 cals, wow!), even ordered lighter cocktails! Haha.

Our hotel had an indoor pool though, so I got in some extra cardio. Had to wear the swimsuit I'm least comfortable in, because it was the only one with strings so it'd fit me at my current weight. I actually handled it pretty well, and realized I'm just equally self conscious in any swimwear, lol. I'm working on it though, so I may as well have fun in the meantime.

It also had a pretty nice gym setup for a hotel. Got to test my one rep max on the basic lifts, even bench press which I haven't been able to test out yet. I beat all my short term strength goals! These are my numbers.

Deadlift (Sumo): 155lbs
Overhead Press: 65lbs
Squat: 105lbs
Bench Press: 85lbs

I was surprised I got that much, but I've studied the form so much so I'd have it down when I tried. Now I have new goals to beat, and I'm really glad I had the chance to test myself.

Highest: 178lbs Current: 130-145lbs (Depends)
Goal: Bulk, cut, repeat until desired level of muscle is built. Then maintenance.

In TX to get your drivers license, if you are under 18 (my daughter will be 16 in June). We have to either put her a driving course or we can do it ourselves. We can order the book and put her through so many hours of courses as soon as they turn 14. At age 15, they can have so many hours, then take the written test at the DMV and get their permit. A permit allows them to drive with a licensed adult. Then you can teach them to drive in the vehicle. She has to have so many hours behind the wheel, and pass the courses that we give her or the class gives her, then we turn in the paperwork to the state and the issue her a drivers license. I might have missed a step or two in there, but that is the gist of it. I plan to order the material this week and get her started.

How was your weekend? I hope it was well. Mine was pretty relaxing. My last day at the old job was Friday, I start my new job this morning. I'm nervous and excited at the same time!
