I hope the doctor helps and you get out of your blah mood :). Do 1 good thing for you today even if it's just eating a serving of vegetables or reaching your water quota. ^_^.

I reached my water quota yesterday yay. Today is a half day for me today and then I'm off on vacation until Dec 11. Not going anywhere but I have to use my vacation days or I lose them.
Fitness Blender had a cyber Monday sale for their programs and meal plans so I bought a 4 week bodyweight only program and scheduled it to start tomorrow :). Wish me luck! My anniversary is also tomorrow so husband and I are going out for dinner and my birthday is Monday so having breakfast with the family and best friend Saturday and brunch on Sunday with the husband so this weekend will have a lot of eating. Wish me more luck with that o.o

I've been really bad lately, like binge eating bad. I'm in a slump and my body is taking the punishment and rebelling. I have rashes on parts of my body, another bad acne break out...going to see doc about rashes and my blah mood.

Happy Wednesday!

How is your water goal going? I did great the first 3 days and then did bad for the rest of the week. Monday I got 6 cups (or 8 can't remember), yesterday 10 cups and today I'm trying to reach 12 cups. Up to 8.75 at the moment.

Ah yes it is the season of constant office treats. I think I already said I am doing SparkPeople's Tame Your Sweet Tooth challenge. If it's sweets that are tempting you, you can join me :D. I am on day 9.

I am also trying to up my hydration after finding out I am quite dehydrated and don't drink as much water as I should. So I have challenged myself to drink 12 cups a day for 30 days. I am on day 3 with 7.6 more cups to go today. I took a selfie on day one and will take another at the end to see if there are any visible changes. Current changes is that I make a lot of trips to the rest room. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I am feeling drained and tired and bloated. I've been eating kind of bad because of all the awful things people are bringing into the office....and my body is feeling it. I have physical therapy tonight so I will at least get moving some today.

Happy Monday :).

How is everyone today? I actually got out of bed before 7. Trying to break out of the recent habit of arriving to work late (hours are pretty flexible, if I arrive late I leave late but I don't want to have to leave late anymore :P).

I exercised yesterday morning after a LONG time of being inactive and I am feel the results today lol. Hopefully recovery doesn't take too long so I can exercise again.

Today's fitness goal: walk for at least 20 minutes and maybe do an upper body workout since yesterday's focus was mainly the lower body.

Non-fitness goal: clean the kitchen.

What's everyone's plans for today?

I do have a tattoo. My sister and I went together on mother's day this year and got pink ribbon tattoos in honor of my mum. I have pictures of it on social media. I actually found the drawing on Pinterest and showed it to the artist and he put his own style into it for me.

I joined a challenge that one about breaking up with your sweet tooth challenge or whatever its called. I haven't been having a LOT of sweets lately but I have been having cravings (those things are probably related lol).

Does anyone have tattoos. I have plans to get my first next year but I am having the hardest time deciding what I exactly want. I know I want it to be water color style but with line art but about 3 colours top and I know where I want it and there is a boat on the sea. I wish I could draw :P

sounds like you've been a busy with all the fur babies.

I too was sick for last few weeks. It started as sinus infection, then it turned into bronchitis and after that pleurisy...talk about fun times. I'm starting to feel normal again though.

Happy Wednesday! I haven't been doing all that well with the fitness. Was sick all September then was pet sitting half of October (a total of 4 dogs and 6 cats between 3 homes [1 of those homes and 2 of those pets were ours]) and now going away on vacation end of this week so have been trying to get the house all organised/clean before we go and we are moving business location this week so ahhhhh. I don't know when I'll be getting back into the grove of things the mind is there but getting the body to follow is another matter.

I hope everyone else is having a better time achieving their goals! emoticon

Oh I missed it! Happy Belated Techies day :D

Happy Monday and Canadian Thanksgiving!

My husband told me an app called Achievement that rewards you (with money) for doing healthy stuff so I downloaded and connected it to my Samsung Health app to give it a shot. It won't be easy earning money as 10,000 points = $10 but I'd be doing the same things and earning nothing...well except good health :P.

You get points for taking steps, drinking water, posting health related tweets and other healthy stuff.

Today I also started the walk/run to 5k challenge again now that I'm all better. Wish me luck!

I am sorry to hear you have been ill. Hopefully you are getting over it and will be back to your old self soon. I hate being sick. I do not get sick very often (knock on wood), but when I do it usually kicks my butt.

I worked most of the day yesterday then hung out with some of my Jamberry friends. It was a good day. Today we are working on cars again, well hubby is while I am playing on spark people. We are having dinner at a friends house tonight.

And for those affected by Harvey I hope you guys are recovering quickly and getting the help you need.

I've been sick for over a week but I might (don't want to jinx it) might finally be getting better we'll see. It's thrown off my exercising but I've lost weight so there is that? Meh hopefully I get better soon, the weight stays off and I can get back into exercising. emoticon I got sick right around my deadlines for my personal plank and push up challenges and right after I started the walk/jog 5k challenge. TERRIBLE TIMING.

A bunch of teams in my office are moving desks because we have a new department moving into our area. I was the first person to move and I swear this desk feels smaller even though they are all supposed to be the same size (I am suspicious).

It went well. I then went to the gym after work too, and then the next day. I did not make it last night as my allergies are trying to kill me. I'm trying to work myself up into going 6 days a week, and make it a good habit. I need the movement, I feel better when I do it.

Oh great! How did it go?

Yesterday the husband and I went rock climbing. A private rock climbing gym had an open climb to raise money for renovations so we paid $25 each and went. I completed one climb, half of the second climb and barely anything of the other climb emoticon . My husband completed 5 out of 6 of the climbs he tried. He loved it, I'm happy to have try something I hadn't tried since I was maybe 13. There isn't any other place to climb except for a wall at another gym which I don't even think is being used. To be a member of the gym we went to is $100 a month so that's not happening anytime soon :P.

Oh nice I forgot you work on cars :D.

Whenever I have difficulties getting back into it I just try to do the minimum like say I don't want to get out of bed and I want to sleep more I start to do leg raises on my back and then I move on to my sides. And even just doing a few of those warms my body up and wakes me up more.

If already up and a wake just tell yourself to do 10 squats or 10 lunges or 10 arm circles or 10 hip extensions. And even if you don't do more than 10 reps of an exercise it's better than doing nothing :D.

I've been pretty lazy lately and I'm mad at myself for it. I only have myself to blame, no one else. I've felt so tired and just don't want to do anything...I know if I get moving it will help but my body is just like nope, let's sleep or plop on the couch after work.

I'm not on track right now and it makes me sad. I'm working on getting there again. We worked on the kiddo VW beetle this weekend, it needs new suspension. We got the passenger side front done. Hoping to get the other side tackled this coming weekend.

Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend?

Saturday I woke up early to get cleaning and packing done (my husband and I had been pet/house sitting for the last 3 weeks and Saturday was the last day).

Yesterday Morning my mom, friend and her coworker did a 4 mile walk.
It was a beautiful and peaceful route with lots of inclines but nothing difficult.

Went home and watched some tv and had breakfast and then did some much needed cleaning in the kitchen and sorted the recycling.

And at 4pm my husband and same friend went to go see The Dark Tower, it was good I definitely recommend it and we dropped of the recycling. Then we picked up my husband's friend so the two of them could work on some filming.

Oh yesterday we also finally put up the second bookshelf :D.

I recommend looking up musicals in advance because the have times and dates posted early and the really popular ones sell out quick. Since you guys are only there for 4 days I say pick out what you really want to do so you don't miss out. I am guessing you guys will be checking out the area around where the campus is if you stepdaughter is staying on campus?

I have a good amount of vacation but funds have been tight so we keep putting travel off.

I love traveling, but sadly don't get to do it as much as I would like to. No we have never been to NYC, so it will be a first time trip. We unfortunately won't be able to stay too long, since I do not have much vacation left, it will be like a 4 day weekend at most.
I'd love to see a musical, it just depends on if time will allow.

Oh nice are you guys going to tour the campus? I love visiting NYC, I couldn't see myself living there but visiting is always a good time. I recommend all the touristy stuff if you guys have never been there - Statue of Liberty (book in advance if you want to go up to the crown), Empire State Building, Central Park, Museum of Natural History, a Broadway Musical (we saw the Lion King and it was awesome!). The most expensive ones are the musical and the Empire State Building and if I had to choose between the two I'd go with the musical (it was amazing!). I really want to go back and see Anastasia the musical, I love that movie.

This will be my first trip of the year so I am definitely looking forward to it. We've booked tickets now so we are definitely going lol. We are heading to Tampa and Orlando and want to go to Universal Studios/Island of Adventure (Harry Potter world!!) and Epcot.

oooh a trip sounds like a lot of fun. I need to think about planning our trip to NYC and Cambridge, MA. Kiddo started her senior year of high school today and applies to college in October, her top two school choices are in those areas so we wanted to take her to visit them so she has a better idea of which one she likes the most if she gets into both of them.

I have a trip coming up in October-November (well hopefully it's coming up nothing is booked yet) and I am going to do clothes shopping so I want to lose weight before then. I don't want to think too far ahead though otherwise I'll feel overwhelmed so current goal is:

Just lose 10 pounds I can do 10 pounds.

Action Steps to achieve goal

- Track food everyday
- Plan out breakfast, snacks and dinner.
- Check in on Spark at least 3 times a week.

August = new goals. Mine are:

exercise every day this month, even if only 30 minutes of walking
70 oz min of water daily
track/log everything I eat and drink whole month
Drop 10 pounds.

So far 2 days in I'm on track (except weighing part).
