I experimented them with tomatoes out of my garden this year. They are still in the freezer though--haven't taken them out to try them yet.
Someone I work with freezes them whole when she is short on time. She said the skins just slide off when you thaw them. We haven't tried it, that I recall.
I haven't tried this yet, but will tomorrow! Has anybody else had any luck or failure with freezing whole tomato's?
I don't have quite enought to make canning them worthwhile, this method of keeping tomatos sounds amazing!
