Sue - when I read your post I had to go back and read it again. I then had to get myself to stop laughing. Let me explain and I am sure it is one of those language things again - the difference because of the sea between us.
In America - a joint is a rolled marijuana cigarette so when you said you roasted a joint my mind went in the wrong direction.
On the other side of that - I also roast, bake, or cook extra meat and make my own sandwiches with them.

At some time or other I do all those except drink the cals. I always have water or diet soda with no cals if out or weak black tea, no sugar in my drinks, not had sugar in tea since I was 16 Must make more effort. I always do best when I plan a week's meals and shop for that,and I try to make my own cold meat by roasting a joint and slicing it up, but sometimes I just grab a pack from a shelf thanks for posting this, real eye opener
