Mary...I think maybe the pedaler might be better, because it would take the weight off the feet and knees and still give exercise. On one of the teams I've been on someone also used the pedaler as an arm exerciser....double duty.

It's foolish to ask God to direct your steps, if you aren't willing to move your feet.
I want to buy an exercise gadget I can use while sitting down (right now my feet hurt too much to walk as much as I'd like). I'm torn between two -- a pedaler and a stepper. Either can be used while sitting in a chair (knitting?). The stepper is $5 less than the pedaler, but I really don't know if there's much of a difference otherwise.
Does anybody have any input? Probably just about everybody knows more about this than I do, and I'd appreciate the help.
