hi Cathy, i also live in salem, the weather has been beautiful esp at night, i need to get more motivated to walk but seems i wind up on the couch and that is it,,,have a good weekend,

I love anything to do with the pool. It's funny but you can't stay still while you're in a pool unless of course you're floating on a raft.
A friend called the other day and wanted to know if she could come over and go in the pool. It was a nice visit. We didn't do much in the pool but chat.
The next day her body let her know just how much she moved around in the water and she didn't even realize it. emoticon
I'm really really going to miss the pool once we have to close it down for the winter.
In the mean time I've started to play around with little hand weights and I must say I'm getting better at it.
Shucks, last November I was carrying around an extra 70 pounds! Picking up a little hand weight isn't so bad in comparison!

hi , i just have to enjoy walking again, i used to walk a long distance, 3-5 miles per days, and then just stopped put on all the weight, and now it is exhausting to think about it, today i am off an am going out to walk with my new mp3 player, i really dont want to , but know the only way to success is to do it, thanks nancy

I'm with everyone else on not liking to exercise in general, but I do absolutely love water aerobics classes. I don't have to force myself to do that because I love it. Everything else I do is a chore, but water exercise feels like the reward!

Me, too!
But I know I have to bite the bullet, start slow and work up to some kind of routine because my skin isn't keeping up with my weight loss. I've got severe jiggles! emoticon

I also REALLY hate exercising because it goes against my grain to do something that doesn't show immediate results for energy expended...I know there should be results further in the future...but that doesn't motivate me.

Leanna...I'll have to make those for my grand kids and us...they sound delicious.

Hi I just say any is better then now, do a little each day of something ,turn some music on and clean and dance and have fun,, here is a good recipe ,,enjoy Leanna

Peach Yogurt Pops:
1-1/2 cups sliced fresh peaches
1 cup low fat or fat free plain yogurt
1/4 cup liquid honey
"Combine peaches and yogurt in blender. Begin to
process. While processing, add in a slow stream of
honey. Process until smooth. Pour into Popsicle
molds. Insert Popsicle sticks. Freeze until firm.
on this recipe I made "a
little of my own alteration (ie. using honey
instead of sugar). Original contributors suggested
any variety or combination of fruit. This is the
only one I have tried, as I had peaches on hand to
use up."

For 6 servings:

I really really really hate excersing!!! emoticon

I purchased a DVD of chair exercises. I got it from Amazon and I think it was under Seniors. It is pretty good to get you started in moving. Most are done while sitting in a chair or using a chair for support. It is called "Chair Aerobics for Everyone". No equipment is needed. It tells you to improvise and use cans of veggies for weights. Check it out and hope it helps. Marcie

I was the same way when I first started this journy. I started by just doing some strength training. Leg lifts, modified lunges, and just a bit of walking. I have on demand and did some Leslie Sansone walking shows. I couldn't even do 10 minutes, but now I can do 45. I can't say that I like exercising now, but I know I feel better when I do make myself get on the exercise bike. Believe me, I know how hard it is to get started but every little bit helps.

I'm with you on this one. Being so heavy it is so hard to get my butt going. Every part of my body hurts and that's just getting off the chair!! LOL

No foods with high fructose corn syrup, sugar, rice syrup, corn syrup, fructose, sucrose etc. in the first three ingredients.

No foods that have more than 3 ingredients that I can not pronounce.

If an item has more than 10 ingredients it is too processed, I will not eat or buy the item.

O.K. I need some ideas on how to start exercising! I always use the excuse that I'm too tired or my knees hurt. Is there someone out there that can get me moving? Someone who hates exercising as much as I do! emoticon
