From the book Daily Word for Weight Loss by Colleen Zuck & Elaine Meyer
Eating in healthy, nourishing ways energizes me with youthful exuberance.
There are many healthy, nutritious, and filling vegetables and fruits available to me, so I fortify my body by including selections from both these food groups in my diet.
Although I may find it easy to eat the right food in the right amounts when I am at home or at the office, I may not find it so easy when I am observing special occasions with friends and loved ones. At such times, I may feel an obligation to eat foods that I would not normally eat.
If the temptation to overeat begins to lurk in my thoughts, I picture how I look fit and trim. Visualizing what I am working to achieve helps me to handle those difficult situations. Eating healthy foods leaves me feeling energized and youthful. Adding exercise to my schedule brings me positive results that show when I step on the scales.

•For the Sake of Your Lungs, Chill Out
Ever been so mad you could spit? Your lungs may have something to say about that.
Although lung function naturally declines with age, recent research suggests it may decline faster in perpetual hotheads than in even-tempered sorts. Next time you're seething, try this on-the-spot cool down: Close your eyes, relax your muscles, and imagine yourself far away from what's making you so mad. Then, breathe deeply.
