I felt called by God to teach to make a difference in students' lives and for them to know that they can succeed at anything they dream about in life. I want to give students the opportunity to learn as much as possible in the classroom.
I love learning, and I want others to love it, too! In HS, most of my friends were the teachers that inspired me. I loved that they were always available to their students. This made me want to inspire Honors Students to go for their dreams, and to dream big--dream that they could and would do anything.
I love math, and in my six years of tutoring, ive learned to love teaching others math too. I want to teach them not only the subject, but its subilties, its richness. I would love to teach at a public academy for math and the sciences so this is possible. I love its history, artistry, and depth. I want others, especially HS girls, to learn to love it, too.
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. -Eleanor Roosevelt
Just wanted to get everyone to share why they have chose to go into teaching? Share you're journey if you are willing! I'll start!
My junior year of high school I had a physics teacher who completely inspired me. I struggled with the class all year long, but the teacher made it fun and made me want to learn and succeed. Before this I wanted to go into nursing to help people, but soon realized that teaching is helping students. I want to help students succeed in whatever they want to. I want to show students that they are important and that they do matter.
