Whey Protein Powder. If you are struggling to get the necessary protein in, try a fruit smoothie with soy and whey protein. As per the book, try to find one that has very little filler and is not presweetened in any way. A banana usually does a pretty good job of sweetening without any unnatural sugars. You can also add the whey protein powder to oatmeal.
Adding the protein powder in the morning will eliminate the need to use a *hard form* of protein later in the day, and hopefully help you over the boredom hump of meat products. And to be honest, since its a drink, it doesn't feel like you are eating MORE protein. :)
Another option is adding more soy. Soy milk, tofu, edamame ... plant based proteins. I don't know as much about them, in a Clean Eating context, but I do know there are some great alternatives out there.
