I so desparately needed soda substitiutes, so thank you for this. I am eating clean about 2 weeks and giving up Diet Cokes slowly. Right now, every other day I am having 1 Diet Coke and then the other days, none. I find that I am very thirsty while eating clean, so I can get my water in, but it gets so boring! I am going to look for Hansen's and the Grown Up Ginger Ale.

Also, do you guys think Vitamin Water 10 is clean? There are a lot of ingredients and most of them I can idenitfy as clean but there are a few I am not sure about. It def doesn't have HFCS or any of the bad artifical sweetners.

I drink seltzer water flavored with lime juice and 100% cranberry juice. It is very refreshing this time of year. I think it's clean.

Try the Hansen's brand sodas. They have them at some grocery stores, and at all natural food stores. They have no HFCS and taste yummy, especially the creamy root beer. At the health food stores they have whole aisles of chips, just made a little better for you... maybe a healthier oil they are fried in, try these for your hubby, I bet he will like them!

If you go to your health food store, you will find a whole aisle of soda alternatives. Most have sparkling water instaed of carbonation. DH and I have recently tried and loved G.U.S. (Grown Up Soda)brand Ginger Ale. They also make grapefruit and maybe others. Just make sure there is not HFCS in what you get. Look for all natural and/or all fruit juice. You'll probably have to do some hit or miss trials. It's good that he is open to something healthier. It's amazing how many of the success stories here on SP and elsewhere include the person giving up soda! It makes me wish I had that habit - then I'd be able to drop a few more pounds just by giving it up...

So, I buy two items a week for my husband, one bag of regular potato chips and a 2 liter coke. Now, is there any kind of soda that does not have HFCS in it or is at least a bit better than the others? I gave up on the chips and just buy him his regular, he will take no substitutes, but soda he would be more flexable on.
